Admission to this museum is included with admission to the Trolley museum. It is a cute little exhibit. It is small but packed full of vintage fire engines and memorabilia.

This museum is housed in the Connecticut Trolley Museum so its 2 for the price of 1. They are from all over the country and well restored. Thier are all shapes and sizes from different periods of time. I went to see the trolley cars but really enjoyed going round the fire trucks, well worth the visit. Plenty of free... More

Way off the beaten path is a gem of vintage firetrucks. Hidden behind the trolley museum is a trove of equipment. Cool story boards. Easy access and ample parking.

One building houses old fire trucks, for viewing, along with 3 buses. There are placards to read regarding the history of each. It's self guided, and no one was on hand to answer questions. I enjoyed seeing the old trucks, but it just looks like a little more than a collection, in a shack on the grounds of another museum.

Not a huge display of apparatus and equipment but what they do have is very nice. I hope they can add a few more pieces to the inventory and hope they can expand the museum space. Definitely worth taking a look at in conjunction with the trolley museum which is on the same property.

At the same location of the CT Trolley Museum, but in separated building, this little warehouse stores a great amount of antique fire trucks and memorabilia. Although it was open, they were doing some renovations to make room for more displays.

The Connecticut Fire Museum is right behind the Trolley Museum and is covered in the same ticket price. The Trolley Museum was unfortunately disappointing, but I liked this one much better. Still, there were some issues that need fixing. The good news is that the engines are in pretty good shape, and there are quite a few of them to... More

A great take and you get to ride the ancient trolleys as well and you will see other public transportation equipment as well in various states of repair.
