Situated near the end of the Connecticut River, this museum gives a history of the river's use. I especially loved the "Turtle" Submarine exhibit and the outdoor vessels.

The Mary E. Schooner is no longer in Essex. It's back in Maine from whence it came. However, the museum still has cruises, same schedule as before on a 1614 replica of a sailing ship the Onrust. Do make advance... More
