Best Ice Cream in Town

I'm going to give this a five because I'm from the area and this is the only reason anyone who is not from Griswold would go there. The ice cream is really very good. They make it... read more

I'm going to give this a five because I'm from the area and this is the only reason anyone who is not from Griswold would go there. The ice cream is really very good. They make it themselves using milk from their cows. It is not very cheap, but at least now they take credit cards. The lines can get... More

If you want amazing ice cream and a breath taking view during sunflower season, you must stop here. They have a huge variety of ice creams. My favorite is a coffee flavor with coffee beans inside. It is so good. Bring a blanket, the kids, and tons of napkins. You won't be disappointed.

Overpriced ice cream, hay rides and corn maze. A pint of ice cream is $24. The sunflowers are the only thing worth visiting for. I'm a local.

This is the best ice cream anywhere bar none. They have many great flavors and it is simply out of this world. If you find yourself in eastern Connecticut you must try it.

This place is a bit nostalgic for me, but once again this year did not disappoint. This year I opted for the peach ice cream which was perfectly flavored and not oversweet. I still would say that this place has the creamiest ice cream hands down. Look on their website and time it when they are doing the sunflowers as... More

We've been going to Buttonwood Farms about once a week all summer after a leisurely drive in the country. They have the best tasting ice cream for sure! I'm totally hooked on coffee mocha crunch. The prices may be a bit high but the quality is excellent. It's very peaceful looking across to the fields and there's a nice big... More

Love it. Beautiful . It's a must. Don't forget to bring the nice camera. Make sure you take a walk in the field of sunflowers and go on the little hill to get the great view. Check the website for the festival dates. Ice cream was big portion but a bit in higher than other places. Cash only. No restroom... More

My two teenagers requested that we take a trip to see the sunflowers. First we waited in line for ice cream. The line looked very long, it was down the walkway and into the parking lot along the fence. But our wait was only 20 minutes. There were plenty of service windows and they seemed adequately staffed. We purchased a... More
