I have been to XL Center twice to see the Hartford Wolf Pack and enjoyed both games. Even though this is an older facility, it does have its advantages. Fans who arrive early can wait in the lobby, unlike other arenas I've been to (Webster Bank Arena, Mohegan Sun Arena) where early arrivers have to wait outside. Also, there is... More

So I tried to go with friends to a UCONN hockey game. I was stopped and told my pocket book was over a specific size and would not be allowed into the venue. I could bring all the contents but not the bag. What kind of stupidity is this. What do the size of my bag have to do with... More

First time. Parking is available, however you need to know which garage is public and open for the time you will be. Parking at church st garage for the event was $10. The directions for entering the xl center can be confusing and at the time of of visit of the escalators was broken going down, with no instructions on... More

We had a great afternoon here for a U Conn women's game. The ticket office was friendly and helpful. We loved the halftime entertainment. The XL Center was easy to get in and out of.

The XL Center is a good place for sports games. I've been here for hockey and basketball games and have always enjoyed it. Be warned that food and beverage prices are on par with expectations: I paid $5 for a bottle of water.

Not a bad seat in the house. Most events are priced reasonable. Their concessions are better than normal and reasonable.

When the event is big and meaningful you have to buy in big! This was the facility used to host the Belong Tour (formerly WOF). This year the number of attendees was down so the place seemed calmer. For example, entering through security did not seem filled with tension ( as I've seen in the past). The employees we crossed... More

Narrowest hallways of any venue I've been to and incredible lines for the restrooms. The new bar area is nice and they stepped up their game with food and beverage choices, but it's still one of the most uncomfortable venues to see a game or a show.

The XL Center is typical of many small civic centers built in the 1970s. It is ugly, concrete, and has exposed mechanical systems. It is clear that little to no effort has been made to upgrade the venue. It might be ok for a sporting event but I would rather drive to Mohegan Sun or TD Garden for a concert.
