St Michael's is a landmark in Litchfield. They always welcome the community with concerts through out the year. The church is currently under going a major exterior renovation. The stone work and stain windows are being repaired structurally. We have attended Christmas concerts and organ concerts in the past. Although we do not belong to the parish everyone is always... Check out one of their tours of the church - so much beauty and history! If you are so inclined, the Sunday 10AM service features their beautiful organ and full choir. There is also a noteworthy concert series.

This church has an interesting history going back to the 1700's. The current structure was built in the early 1900's, and many architectural features are quite unique. The history of the church has been carefully preserved, and tour guides are available during the summer on certain weekends to point out interesting features to visitors. Well worth the visit.

My daughter's wedding was here. Very meaningful service. I'm going to try a Sunday service. The Priest was caring and put a great deal into the wedding service.

Sad to say, but the only two times I've come to this church were for funerals.. However it is a nice church, right in the center of scenic Litchfield. The parking was good and at one of then there was a reception in a nice adjoining building

The Gothic-style architecture and stained glass are just two of the elements that make St. Michael's worth a stop. The sanctuary was empty when I visited, so I was able to admire the glass panels and woodwork. Stop in for a few moments to meditate or pray, or just enjoy the atmosphere. The church fits perfectly into the charming town... More

This is a wonderful church to browse. So many interesting features like a Tiffany stained glass window and a collection of beautifully carved heads near the alter.

St. Michael's Episcopal Church is ethereally beautiful, both inside and out. Designed by foremost architect of the time, Erich Rossiter, and built by the finest craftsmen, the church features several Tiffany stained glass windows, English Oak choir stalls and pews, poured-stone columns, beautifully carved wooden heads and figurines on the high altar which is Sienna marble. The magnificent pipe organ... More
