This is one of the closest beaches to us and definitely our favourite, we usually go at least once a week throughout the year. You either need to walk over the rocks/stones or park near the life guard station to go down the ramp.
We love Ogmore beach. There are fossils, rock pools, sand for sandcastles and you can swim in the sea. There are lifeguards during the summer season. Thats the kids sorted.

The only thing I would say is the ramp is steep and as I have breathing difficulties I find it difficult coming off the beach and walking back to the car. If your husband was accompanying you and you took it slowly I'm sure you could get on and off the beach via the ramp
