This little museum has a lot going for it, but the highlight is the Helene Scherfbeck exhibit. There is also a well-displayed history section that is fascinating if you have personal history in the area that spans prehistoric to contemporary life.

The most important exhibition is the material and paintings from Helena Schjerfbeck who lived in Tammisaari 1925-1941. Worth of the 8 euro entrance fee.

Really nice young man sold us the tickets and told the many possibilities of this museum area. For us the most interesting is the Helene Schjerfbeck exhibition and the films telling about her life was a bonus we didn't know in advance. You can take...More
