I've lived in the New Haven area for quite some time and for some reason never ventured to Peabody. I now realize what I was missing. I found myself with some spare time to kill downtown and decided to stop in. So glad I did! Very impressed with the diversity of the exibits and how well everything is kept. I... More

The expanded new gem exhibit is fabulous. The way the exhibit is set up and lit makes it a treat for the senses. The Great Hall with the Brontosaurus and the mural (make sure you watch the little film!) is fascinating.

If you're in New Haven area, you must visit this museum. Probably the best attraction in town. Plenty of exhibits. Very informative. Very good staff who will explain all your queries. My son and I both loved it. We spent lots of time in discovery room learning leaf eater ants colony. The attendant explained in detail and also showed us... More

Great place to see things of the past. Kids will love it and so will you if you've never been there. Dinosaur skeletons and all types of ancient artifacts are on display. Nothing like seeing things in person rather than in a magazine or on television.

Really, a most amazing array of artifacts for a small museum. The huge dinosaur in the center of the first room is incredible. Lots of interactive activities for kids, too.

Took my kids there and they loved it. The ant colony was the biggest hit next to the dinosaur bones.

Took my 2 year old son who loved this place. Enjoyed the dino exhibition the most and the birds. Was also under construction which didn't impede on the experience

A world class museum that is just the right size, kid friendly and they have parking! Starting with the most important thing, there is a parking lot a few blocks north of the museum that patrons can use. It is in poor condition, but if you take the ticket to the museum, parking is only $5, which is a bargain... More

I do mean what I'm saying, by what's in title. This museum does not disappoint at all b/c Peabody has a little bit of everything. I actually found out about this museum b/c of my boyfriend. He suggested that we visit a museum due to the fact that, bills had eaten almost all of my birthday money. So, thanks to... More

Bustling with families, children oriented activities and historic day awareness it showed the precious archeological treasures and the utter fun that learning could be. Good display of fossils and geological items. Certainly a great experience for children and the grown-ups.
