Great theater. Saw mowtown the musical, which was a fantastic show. Theater is beautiful old theater, not verry large, but seating was comfortable. Snacks available, although not a good variety. Parking garage located right next door to theater. Gail

We loved seeing RENT at the Shubert. It's quaint and the crowd was enthusiastic. I would definitely try and get tickets in the middle of the theater. We could not see some of the scenes in the wings of the stage. It was a little...More

The smaller nature of the venue makes for good acoustics. As with many older places, there isn't an abundance of leg room. But they get good shows and the staff is really friendly.

I've been to several shows at the Shubert. the space is not overwhelming, and you can usually get a decent seat. No show is here for very long, but lots of decent shows come through. Definitely expands New Haven's cultural offerings.

My wife and I saw this very funny show this past weekend and had a great time. The show's songs were outstanding and the acting fabulous. I was especially impressed with the decor inside the Schubert.....beautifully done! Great location just off the downtown green!

Depending on the show I would say the dress code varies but not just opening night, I see lots of folks really beautifully dressed in fancy clothes while others not and some events tend to be more casual. As with all events... More
