First off, this hike is hard to find. If you start from Massachusetts using a GPS, be advised that there are 2 Mount Washington Roads near the border. We wasted one day going to the wrong one. (If you're at The Option Institute, you're in the wrong place.) I think that Connecticut is the only state where the highest point... More

I have been trying to climb all the high points in New England. We finally got to do CT high point Labor Day weekend. If it wasn't for the internet we would have never found it. Even fellow hikers had no idea. It was difficult finding the base of the trail because there are NO markers. NOTHING IS MARKED. Somehow... More

Mount frissell is located in the South Taconic Range. It is a medium hike that puts you on the CT, NY, MA border. It has great views. When you are done go int0 Salisbury for Ice coffee at Sweet William's Bakery and Peter Becks, the outdoor shop.
