Very interesting piece of colonial history with a nice, informative tour. This is the centerpiece of colonial New Castle and is well worth a visit.

Very well kept and clean Court House that describes our nations beginnings. Our guide was very outgoing and pleasant and provided a very interesting and educational presentation about the time period. Walk around outside the court house to see cobblestone streets.

Did you ever notice the boundary between Pennsylvania and Delaware on a map? It's part of a perfect circle, the center of which is yes... the New Castle Court House. Figure you might want to know that. The surveyors of yore didn't fool around. But...More

There were guides in the room but busy talking to one another in the corner of the room. They did not offer any information. Nice courthouse that you could imagine a hearing taking place.

Bottom line, don't bother visiting without a tour guide, I think. The inside of the court house is a single room that I suspect is quite historically accurate. That means you can only walk through half of it, which takes a grand total of 60...More

We stopped here as our half way break on a road trip down to DC. The tour was informative although a but dry. I would recommend though since it is historically informative!

We had Joan as a docent and she was excellent!! I came away with such a deeper understanding of how the country started and what parts colonies played. The town was really nice to walk around and explore.
