There isn't much open in February, but thankfully the Courthouse was open. The tour was excellent. The guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He shared history of New Castle and Delaware. The building itself is interesting too. Highly recommend a visit.

Took the tour one afternoon on our way home from NJ. Learned alot about this area that I didn't know before. Beautifullly restored court room and very informative exhibits upstairs. Guide was pleasant, knowledgable and able to answer all questions without losing a beat. Made us want to come back again and tour some of the other parts of New... More

This place is very worthwhile, especially if you into history. The guides there are very knowledgeable and the tour was very interesting. I knew very little actually about Delaware history but left there with much of the story about how it became America's first state. This place is actually part of the First State National Historical Park, which is one... More

Just like this structure. Extremely well preserved with careful attention not to minimize modern distractions and utilities. Just didn't have time to go in

History galore here, learn about the Dutch and the Norwegian influence in this quaint semi English looking village. The houses are so pretty and the cobble lane novel for America. Really delightful place to visit and located right on the water front. Worth a visit.

The free guided tour of the Court House not only provided the history of the building, but also the history of the development of the area. Our guide was very informative along with entertaining.

Having a car and 3 hours before I needed to pick up my wife at a Wilmington Venue, I ventured to New Castle, a wonderful historic village chocked full of history. After I walked around the village green i noticed that the courthouse opened at 10:30. Soon, a very knowledgable gentleman was explaining the courtroom, the process of english trials,... More

Docent gave me an individual tour which lasted about an hour as a private group tour was occurring at the same time. First he said he couldn't but then, he figured out how to navigate the building so as not to interfere with the other tour. He was extremely knowledgeable about Delaware history and super willing to answer all questions.... More
