It was part of the package. We entered through the garden which took up most of the property. It is a small house, but so much happened here. A must see.

Take the combined tour offered by Historic Association. Interesting look at a tradesman's typical 1700's home. Entire area of historic New Castle is well worth the visit.

Built in the late 1600s, this small but well designed house is very impressive. The guide will give the history of the house and improvements that where made over time.

This can also be combined with the Amstel House (recommended). This is very Dutch worker's house nicely restored with a small garden also for visiting. Seen by tour of about one hour with a very knowledgable guide. The upstairs is not open (difficult stairs to...More

Its amazing that at one point 9 people could have lived in a place this small. There's a nice tidy yard and a garden in the colonial style that's maintained by a local group. A worthwhile half hour of your time!

This little home is the second oldest in Delaware, built in the late 1600's. It is an interesting look at colonial life, but on the day we visited the air conditioning wasn't working well and it was a bit stuffy, causing 2 visitors to need...More

Historical building around one of the oldest churches in the state and on the East Coast. Nice walk and history buffs would love the inside.
