Apparently this park is a prime spot for Pokemon Go players. If you enjoy walking through a mediocre park while dodging hundreds of people walking with their faces glued to their phones or iPads have fun. Also, I think they had to abbreviate the park hours because of the Pokemon Situation - Same applies to all of downtown too.

I have fond memories of Battery Park from my childhood, having experienced fireworks out over the Delaware river. The newer paved and extended walking path makes for a long enough walking trail to be useful for exercise. There are play areas for kids, and a couple of basketball courts. The park is not large enough for any sports fields to... More

Pleasant walk along the Delaware. Popular with locals many out on sunny day with their dogs and children. Limited parking so be prepared to walk down from the town proper.

After a meal at Jessop's Tavern we took a walk along the waterfront. There is presently construction going on as they are replacing a pier but the walkway along the shoreline is still open as is the grassy area of the park. Many people were enjoying a nice stroll and picnics in the good weather. It is a carry in/carry... More

Battery park is a cute little area on the water. It's quiet and peaceful, has a walking trail, playground, and benches to just sit & watch the water. Lots of squirrels running around.

Right on the Delaware River, has a nice trail for walking/running/ biking. It's nice walking along the river. There have been some recent upgrades - new benches and upgraded the paving on the trail. There's some shady spots, a decent amount of parking, and its pretty safe, as evidenced by the many solos and families taking advantage of the property.... More

Battery Park has always been a nice place to take a stroll. I like to go down on the morning when the sun is low on the water, it makes for a cool, picturesque walk. I have found however that if you go during the evening, there are Pokémon chasers everywhere that totally ruin the vibe so pick your visit... More

It is a lovely place to enjoy the day with a stroll along the Delaware River. There are benches if you wish to stop and view the river, Also, it is next to Olde New Castle if you need a change of pace.
