The temperature was around 40, and the waterfowl were enjoying the lake. Silver Lake is a fresh water lake two block from the ocean. We saw hooded mergansers, American black ducks, canvasbacks, redheads, mallards, and lots of Canada geese. This is a great spot to...More

Didn't know this was there, until we stumbled across it on a bike ride! Beautiful little lake in the middle of town!

It's a beautiful walk, but with all the amazing other bodies of water around, I might not recommend it unless it's nearby. There's likely another great place to walk closer to where you are in the area.

The shore of the lake is a nice variety from walking on the beach or the boardwalk, but it's not really anything special.

We stopped to take pictures at Silver Lake. It was drizzling so we did not stay long. The lake is very pretty and a nice place to take a walk if you like to exercise every day.

The lake is only a block or two off the southern end of the boardwalk. Very nice homes surround the private lake, with most having pretty gazebos on the water.

I've never seen anyone swimming there; I'm inclined to think it's not allowed. I believe I have seen people boating, but my impression is that all the docks belong to people whose property abuts the lake. So unless the place... More
