Early evening outing

Great walk! Kids had an ice cream along the Riverwalk and we stopped for dinner. Very clean and well maintained trail for a family stroll.

This park spreads out along the Riverwalk of downtown Wilmington and features an impressive of Harriet Tubman and Thomas Garrett assisting freedom seekers. As with any park, the time of day may dictate who decides to enjoy its environs, but given the historical significance of the Underground Railroad in the area, it is a welcome and thought provoking addition to... This is a nice park to get out and stretch and learn more about the history of Wilmington and the Underground Railroad. Beware of your surroundings as there are sometimes unsavory types here, but in general no one bothers anyone.

Wilmington was very much involved in the Underground Railroad and as you stroll along the Riverwalk you'll find stations with descriptions of aspects of this 19th century movement, here led by Tubman and Garrett, to bring slaves from the south to freedom in the north. The Tubman-Garret Park is on the Riverwalk and is well worth visiting, especially for its... More

Quiet restful surrounding with a great River side path to stroll along having a good conversation with a loved one. Plenty of spots to stop along the way, either under the shade of a tree or if you want to much on something at one of the many restaurants along the walk. We watched people kayaking and native birds along... More

Nothing there but a few benches and sidewalks. You can walk next to the muddy Christina river but that is about it. Try another park. Sometimes homeless people approach you for money.

The whole river front scene in Wilmington is great. The entrance to the Tubman-Garrett Park is quite impressive. Come on down to the riverfron to stroll, shop, eat and see a ball game!

Beautiful park. Well maintained and well patrolled during their annual blues festival. Very enjoyable place to spend the day.

The Riverfront has come a long way since I moved here. When I first came to Delaware, this area was a giant wasteland with one or two closed bars. I do appreciate all the hard work put into making this a much more attractive area. The "Please Touch" Museum is there for kids, lots of great eateries and of course... More

The kids like the birdhouses, and seeing the Pirate ship. We all enjoyed the cleanliness of the area. The flowers were pretty and the kids enjoyed the statues and the mini golf.
