great TOUR! Loved the history and the way it's presented. We had a tour guide named Leone and she is friendly, knowledgeable and gives a very professional, fun, interesting and awesome tour, Leone makes you feel special. There was an older tour guide named Anne and she was very sweet with a southern accent and actually melted my heart, she... More

I am a local to the area and had never been. It was a beautiful Saturday so my boyfriend and I decided to make a visit as we love history (and a little haunting). Leanna (I believe that was her name) was a super engaged tour host and had a wealth of knowledge about everything having to do with the... More

Just got back from visiting Rockwood Mansion. I had been there before but only to attend a function on the grounds, never to tour the house. The grounds are beautiful but the house is a treasure trove of period pieces and the elegance of living wealthy in the 1800's. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took her time showing... It's a bit off the beaten path, with the DuPont estates, historic New Castle, Chadds Ford, and what not competing for attention, but for that very reason I found the guided tour of Rockwood to be one of the most accessible and informative historic property tours I've ever taken. The lack of crowds when I went and the deeply knowledgeable... More

We didn't have enough time to take the tour, but we wish we did. What we did see was very interesting and we will most likely go back on a future visit to the Brandywine Valley.

This was our first stop during a four-day visit to Wilmington. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and managed to get what turned out to be a private tour (it was just the two of us). I purchased a Brandywine Treasure Trail Passport here, and I highly recommend it. At a cost of $45 per adult or $95 for a... More

Rockwood Museum & Park is one of my favorite places in all of Wilmington. The park place host to the Ice Cream Festival, Sleep Under the Stars, Delaware Shakespeare Festival, and many more activities. But... take the time to tour the mansion or even join one of the incredible ghost tours... you will NOT regret it!

The story behind the families at Rockwood are what sold me! i went for a Christmas tour one year where the theme revolved around little Edward Bringhurst, his toys, and the sort of Christmas the family may have enjoyed around the turn of the 20th century. Much of what I saw heard and saw was recounted to me through the... More
