In 2016 the Delaware History Museum reopened after extensive renovation. Come enjoy the exhibition, Delaware: One State, Many Stories! The exhibition is suitable for all ages. One of the most striking features of the renovation is a two-story glass connector linking the 18th-century Old Town Hall building to the Delaware History Museum and Jane and Littleton Mitchell Center for African American Heritage. Now fully accessible, Old Town Hall is used for rotating exhibits and education programs.

We had not visited the History Museum since it was renovated. Great job! The exhibit area is spacious and the exhibits are well done and include current events like the Pumpkin Chunking. We were especially impressed with the exhibit of black history in Delaware.

I was really looking forward to seeing the history of one of the oldest colonies and the first state, but there wasn't much of anything about the colonization and early settlements of the state. I wish there was more pre-revolution history.

I learned a great deal about Delaware by visiting this museum. A lot of interesting history displayed about our "first state" as well as information on slavery, the Underground Railroad, and various early (pre-1960's) equal rights leaders. Loved it.
