This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I ran through along the Brandywine Creek during a half marathon and was amazed by how pretty it was!

The park is very pretty and the trails are done well. When you get down 'in the hollow' you can look up at the bridges and structure noting the rock work. This is serene, and it is well kept.

The 14 miles of trails are lovely to walk. The nature preserves are beautiful and well maintained and the rangers are friendly. This is a great place for picnicking and also for fly fishing. We visit often

We parked here and drove a second car to the park upstream which is called first state national historic landmark or something like that ( you can also walk up, I think ). We launched ourselves on tubes there and took a leisurely float downstream....More

Went to Brandywine to do some light walking. The visitors center is small but the rangers were very friendly and well informed. There are several trails, none of them very long or taxing, but they are nice to walk.

There's not much elevation in Delaware; folks who climb the highest peaks in each state feast on Delaware. The Ebright Road benchmark (NGS disk EBRIGHT AZI) is 447.85 feet above sea level. There are 14 miles of very easy but in some points very scenic...More

Lot of hills years ago did a lot of partying there. I do not think you can do that now but a great place for a picnic.

We paid the $10 out of state fee and parked at Thompsons Bridge. This was an excellent location to run on the Brandywine creek trail. It was a mix of paved and crushed stone path. Very nice scenic run along the shores of Brandywine Creek.

Creeks but nothing to swim or boat in. Nearby Brandywine is better for that. You can tube or canoe that body of water.
