We came to Bartow to take in the annual Arts Festival on this beautiful March 4, 2017 day and noticed this grand old building that was open to the public for self guided tours so we decided to add it to our tour of the festival. There was a great quilt show being featured on the second floor and many... More

Best county-run museum I've ever been. Something for everyone. Immaculate display and overall cleanliness. Rare items, like Nazi trophies of war, Seminole War era firearms, original Confederate officer commissions. Other rare items. The old courthouse which houses the museum is a treasure in and of itself. Thank You Bartow County! All at NO COST! PS Ask in the lobby for... More

Chock full of DAR books, ask for help with these. Unlike a lot of genealogy places, this one has many volumes of reference for many states, the Northeast, South, Civil War, as welll as family histories written by family members. Best library I've ever seen, North or South. And don't miss the 1st floor museum of natural items and antique... More

The building is well kept, the exhibitions are very educational and interesting. Love the original tiles in the building and Women Era (clothing) exhibition.
