We did the four hour back country trip and Chris was our guide. We had a great time and saw so many interesting sights. While we have quite s bit of kayak experience, we were really interested in getting to the back country region. We had lots of questions for Vhris and he was so informative. Even though the trip... We took the 3 hour kayak tour with Chris and it was brilliant. We joined another couple, so there four of us in total and we each had our own kayak. Chris was great at getting us out on the water quickly and once we had paddled across the water to No Name Key we spent time exploring the mangroves... More

Our family has been paddling with Captain Bill Keogh and Big Pine Kayak Adventures for over ten years and is truly a highlight of every family vacation to the Keys. His knowledge, door to door (campsite to campsite) service, exceptionally reasonable fees, and first rate new equipment, make your kayaking experience as smooth and enjoyable as any we have experienced... Bill the owner and Scupper, his trusty seadog, provided an amazing day on the water. We learned about sponge flats, the difference between green turtles and loggerheads and the bone structure of comeronts. The kayaking was perfect - challenging enough for our family of different ability levels but not too much. And Bill would take anybody who had had enough... More

The two of us rode a tandem kayak with Chris, the tour guide and 6 other English travel writing folks. Bill ,the owner, tagged along with his fearless sea dog. Chris showed us a a handful of the native species such as the jellyfish and sea cucumbers. Bill was very helpful and coached us through and under the mangroves. We... More

Our group had a wonderful time kayaking with Chris. The vibe was chill and the service was spot on. I would highly recommend choosing this spot.

Chris was great! Laid back, knowledgeable - showing us the horseshoe crabs mating, the blue crab and how to tell its sex, the decorator crab and why it's called that, the stone crab which he and others trap for their tasty claws which do regrow; mangrove snakes, orb spiders, jelly fish, nurse sharks...and a beautiful sunset! Also saw a turtle... More

We took a kayak tour through the mangrove tunnels. It truly was a once in a lifetime adventure. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable, and wasn't afraid to get in the water if he had to to take our picture or show us something. This is a must do tour if you are planning a visit to the Florida... More

Our whole family really enjoyed this trip with Chris. Three hours along beaches and through mangroves was fascinating and exhilarating. Chris was helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this company - great value for money.

We took the trip with Chris starting at 9am. It was a great way to spend the morning. We paddled around and Chris talked about the environment, geology, plant life and animal life as we went. We stopped to snorkel and then paddled through the mangroves to a salt pool. We learned a lot and started to appreciate how fragile... More
