Want to see Boca Raton before the condos and shopping centers took over? Here is a free-to-visit back to raw nature venue. You will find tons of native plants and insects, no crowds and a small parking lot. Its a great get away place for an hour to lose yourself on a trail that will make you feel that you... More

Its good they have natural areas, you can see the animals, spiders, snakes and birds. Not that you can't see them in your back yards. But your back yards are landscaped. In the Scrub area its not so neat.

sort of an endless loop, trails, especially the sand ones are not well marked. Fairly sparse and few other runners, joggers, or hikers. Easy to do 5 miles without repeating a trail.

Better than watching paint dry or going to the dentist. BUt that's about it. Trails are rough, not much nature to see, and you hear the roar of the nearby traffic. Go to the beach instead

I was concerned about walking here (female, over 50), when I parked, since it looks so isolated (even though it is a stones throw from I-95). But, not to worry - there were families and singles (both ladies, coincidentally) walking about. But, by no means crowded! It was very clean, and a great place to stretch your legs. There is... If you've ever wondered what this part of Florida looked like before all the tourists arrived, you can get a pretty good idea strolling though this sandy wasteland just east of I-95. The cynics might say that the area was too unattractive for a housing development, but that would be unkind. For what ever reason, Boca's City Council decided that... More

It is close by, just use restrooms before you go, and bring h2o. It is a really nice walk and geocaching location.

I biked through the area (which has nice paths throughout). It was a great place to get a little exercise and see a little nature at the same time. Iguanas along the river, fantastic bird life. Very nice area.

Worth doing - as a morning walk, or a longer hike, or a jog. Different length walking paths. Enjoyed exploring through the Yamato Scrub.

They have done little to change the landscape, which is what's good. Plus the fact its in an industrial park. It has trails and a bike trail, and trash cans. Around the trash is where I saw the most birds. You can spot some wildlife.
