Very nice clean beach. We lucked out and got a parking spot literally 25 yards from our spot on the beach. They do have parking meters that you will need to feed, but it is cheap compared to the beach. Restaurant is not a far...More

Spent a whole day at Barefoot enjoying the beach and all it had to offer. Shells everywhere! Beaches were beautiful, clean, and never ending. Plenty to see.

You can park close to the beach. They do accept Collier County Beach Parking Permits. This is a wide beach and you can walk for hours.

Great visit! We drove through all of Barefoot Beach to the end then came back to park. $8 was reasonable we thought to park for all day. We stayed about 2 hours and arrived about 2:30pm. There were titles in the parking lot and someone...More

We decided to visit based on TA reviews and were not disappointed. Although the hurricane had made some parts inaccessible, it was worth walking in the preserve.

What a beautiful beach, loaded with seashells and it seems like you could walk it forever. Tide was strong so many broken sea shells but we just enjoyed the walk. Too bad there isn't much parking available.

You have to drive through a community, without stopping, but once you get parked the beach is much less crowded, especially at the end. Respect signs about not parking in some places to protect the gopher tortoises. We saw TWO while walking the trail.

Great beach and so glad we stumbled upon it. The $8.00 to park was well worth it. The trip back through the multi million dollar homes to get to the beach was entertaining by itself. The fact that this beach is also home to protected...More

Gopher tortoises everywhere!! We spent the day before at CROW on Sanibel learning about the Gopher tortoises and it was so cool seeing so many in one location. This is a very nice beach where we found quite a few shells. We visited several beaches...More

Then only major fireworks that I know of are launched from Naples Pier, which is about 18 miles from Barefoot Beach. I would recommend driving closer to the fireworks, but be sure to get there at least 2 hours early... More

When we were there, I think there was a phone number on the fence surrounding the kayaks. Otherwise, I 'd check on the website, or ask the ranger at the gate where they collect the $8 parking fee - they seem helpful.
