Great diving in Boynton Beach with the Castor King

I just did 24 dives with Underwater Explorers, 22 of them on the wreck of the Castor to join in the Goliath Grouper aggregation. The visit certainly did not disappoint. There were... read more

This guy is the worst. First he tried ripping me off on boat fees, telling me he was doing me a favor by booking me! Then he cancels my trip right before the trip when I try to discuss the fees with him. Do not book with this scumbag! There are plenty of other boats around.

This customer (course director at Force E scuba) is angry that l would not cancel someone else's exsisting reservations so that he could take his client on a tech dive. The entire exchange between us was luckily via text message, saved, and is availiable upon request. Rest assured that if you make a reservation with us that we have the... More

I just did 24 dives with Underwater Explorers, 22 of them on the wreck of the Castor to join in the Goliath Grouper aggregation. The visit certainly did not disappoint. There were many Goliath Grouper on and around the wreck. The bait fish and hunters put on a great show, often like fireworks. The large schools of Horse-Eye Jacks were... More

If you're looking for large, crowded, dive boats with people ranging from beginner to advanced and everything in between, where the massive group dives all at once and scares away all of the fishies then Underwater Explorers is not for you... If however, you are looking to dive with some top notch divers with a captain with local expertise and... More

This was my first dive trip to the Boynton Beach area. I was a part of a group of 5, one of whom was a born and raised local. When it came to what charter to use, there was only one choice for his money... Underwater Explorers and Captain Kevin Metz. He couldn't have been more right. The mini season... More

Boynton Beach was one place that we had not dove before and since it was close to home we thought we'd give it a try. After reading the review of several different dive boats, I chose Captain Kevin. And I'm glad of that. The biggest reason I picked this boat was that he only takes out 6 divers at a... More

I recently did 4 dives with owner/Captain Kevin Metz and Underwater Explorers out of Boynton Harbor Marina. I frequently visit Boynton Beach and Underwater Explorers is my go to operator. Are you tired of crowded boats and too many divers? The Explorer takes no more than 6 divers and there is plenty of room, including divers with cameras, spear guns,... More

I made the trek up to Boynton Beach for the annual Goliath Grouper aggregation and chose to dive for the first time with Captain Kevin and Underwater Explorers. The boat was easy to find and had plenty of parking available. I am a huge fan of this operation not only because they are safety-first, professional and lots of fun, but... More

Great company. Kevin (captain) runs a great dive boat. Patient and helpful. If at all possible I will book with him again.

Diving with Underwater Explorers and Kevin is fantastic. The boat is a 6 pack, roomy and Kevin has a wealth of experience diving. Kevin did our check out dives and AOW. He stays with you until you do it right and he feels you are safe diving within the limits of your certifications.

Every year I return to photograph the Goliath Grouper aggregation that takes place on the wreck called the Castor. It can be quite challenging as the current can be strong, but nobody understands the conditions like Captain Kevin. Safety is always at the main concern and he professionally puts you where you need to be to dive safely. I have... More
