After voting, I needed time for quiet and reflection. Just a short distance from my home is thbis beautiful, well maintained, county park. From the parking lot you enter the facility over a concrete walkway which has footprints of ducks and terns. On Wednesdays through Sunday(?) there is a visitor center and guided tours. Since it was a early voting... More

A friend posted her visit on social media and I liked what I saw. I never new it was in my area. Nice place to take the kids to get outdoors. The only disappointing thing was when we got there the inside center was closed. Apparently they close at 3:00PM We didn't know that so we may go back again... More

This is a pleasant wetland area which I enjoyed greatly. Many of Thelma birds are quite used to the many visitors and allow you to take some great photos. The wetlands have quite a bird variety and due to the lovely breezes there seems to be no mosquito problem. It is a pity that the information office keeps bankers hours... More

Total walk is on boardwalks through the wetlands. Lots of birds relatively unafraid of humans. Do not stand behind a bird perched on the rail. They project their excrement quite forcefully and seemingly intentionally. Boms away. Loved this place. Kudos to the designers.

Wonderful place to watch water birds which are almost posing for you. Nice Boardwalk, about 1.5 miles. Nature center and clean toilets. Perfect outing.

Beautiful place to visit or take the children. Raised boardwalk where you can see native vegetation, birds, turtles and if you look real hard you just might spot a gater,

Nature walk Boardwalk is open dawn to dusk - 7 days a week. Note: Nature Center Closed on Monday. There is two choices of walkway - 1/2 mile or 1 mile. You can set your own pace and there are huts to allow you to get out of the sun as you walk around. Stop and enjoy this wonderful place.

2 separate trails that meet. Depending on time of year, you'll see lots of birds, maybe nesting, maybe alligators, otters, etc. Very popular with photographers. Rest room facilities at main bldg.

The boardwalk is very comfortable to walk on. There are lots of animals, alligators, ducks, birds, etc. and there are many signs describing the varied wildlife. The main building is very clean and there are bathrooms. My advice, don't do the walk midday in the summer, it really gets hot, otherwise what a relaxing place to be.

Easy one mile or half mile loop on a scenic Boardwalk over wetlands. Alligators, turtles and birds abound. Nice nature center with info inside. Clean bathrooms. One of our favorite spots in the area to take a walk and see the wildlife. Free of charge, plenty of parking.
