Want to shoot? Just stop in! We have everything you need. Just bring your ID. We have earned a 6 star rating and have been voted NJ's Best of the Best of the Best. We have 44 indoor ports both 25 and 50 yard, over 300 guns for rent, comfortable lounge, and an incomparable family environment. 8 years old and up can shoot! We are located 15 miles from NYC, New York City. We have an indoor Firing Range, Gun Range, and Pistol Range. Many tourists visit us and all you need is a friend and a government ID like a passport or a drivers license. We have a huge selection of firearms and the best instructors. All are welcome to come and try your skill and scratch another one off the bucket list. NO appointment needed, just walk right in and have a blast. We supply it all, ammunition (bullets), eye and ear protection and targets. We have the cleanest safe environment and we offer instruction cards in 15 languages. Beginners all love us!

I'm someone who has never been to a firing range before. I have to tell you I was impressed. Not only is this a state of the art firing range, it is a place for rentals and purchases of all sorts of guns from 22's to very heavy duty arms. It is also a place to get training for your own needs and to pass any tests. Finally, you can sit there and speak with the friendly staff or others who are there to shoot.

My husband and I love going to Gun For Hire. The staff is very welcoming and everyone is happy to help you. My husband had some shooting background but I was a definite "newbie" but after my 2nd visit, I felt very comfortable because I always knew there was someone around to assist if need be. Special thanks to Gary who introduced us to the Gun for Hire team who took great care of us. Coach has been a great and patient instructor, as well as Raf, who has continually shared his expertise with us. Daniel and Kuma were great and very patient with us in reviewing different pistols and rifles and explaining the differences. Going to Gun for Hire has become a new favorite pastime.

First time in a Jersey shooting range. The last 10 years have been in Pennsylvania with the family. Have my own firearms this past year so decided to stay local. This is serious business so have to get more training. Marc was great with my wife, myself and my brother. It showed me that I need to take some classes in order to get that conceal carry. Thank you Marc for being so patient and helpful. Will have to go more than twice a year now. It was a great experience. Thanks again

Absolutely the best gun range I’ve ever been to. Over 70,000 square feet. State of the art everything. 6 star rating is for real. Largest gun range in the country and the best ever employees. Since I found them I am there weekly. Plus they are incredibly knowledgeable on all aspects of the guns laws in NJ, NY and PA. With their help I am working towards my CCW in NJ. Love these guys!

Our visit to Gun for Hire, the shooting range in New Jersey, was truly remarkable. I had called ahead to confirm availability, and I was impressed by the friendly and professional receptionist who took my call, setting a positive tone for our visit.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the reception staff, two lovely ladies, who explained the necessary waiver process. They made us feel like part of their extended family and encouraged us to ask any questions. The facility itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained, creating a stress-free and inviting atmosphere. The interior design added to the overall experience, enhancing our comfort.
After signing the waiver, we proceeded to the rental desk. Here, I had my first and only slightly negative encounter with a staff member. Unfortunately, we weren't greeted as warmly by one of the young ladies at the desk. She seemed somewhat annoyed when she asked, "You guys wanna shoot or something?" It felt like she was rushing through her job with a hint of irritation. Nonetheless, we completed our transaction and headed to the range.
Once at the range, we were pleasantly greeted by the exceptional staff. We were assigned an instructor named Marc, who proved to be a true master of his craft. Marc not only provided us with a sense of camaraderie but also explained everything thoroughly. His expertise made our day and overall experience truly amazing.
In summary:
Pros:
Gun for Hire boasts a spacious and impeccably clean facility.
The instructors, especially Marc, are outstanding and deserve recognition.
The firearms are well-maintained, clean, and functioned flawlessly.
Pricing is reasonable and fair.
Cons:
Our experience with the young lady at the rental desk left something to be desired.
Overall, Gun for Hire is an excellent shooting range with the exception of our encounter at the rental desk

Long time shooter and client of this place. I've been to both good and not so good ranges. Gun For Hire is the best. A range ran the way it should be. I have brought many friends, family and many, many clients to this place to have fun and learn how to shoot. regardless of who you are you'll feel at ease in a well run range that's friendly, welcoming and takes care of its clients. Range Officers! they make the experience, by not being uptight, overbearing authoritarians.. Our Range Officer was Harrison, he knew his stuff yet still able to stay in charge and make sure we and others were operating safely -without being condescending. That's the difference. The attitude toward the clients. Many shooters are already new and trying something they are unsure about in many cases, having excellent Range Officers makes the most difference when you're in a shooting port holding a cannon in your hand for the first time. It would be unfair to leave out the greetings you get when you walk in to the place (smiling faces), or that you can rent literally any gun you can think and some you can't imagine or how clean the place is - all things that have been an issue at many other ranges I've visited over the years. You won't be able to go once, you're going to take pictures, you're going to tell people... and if you're anything like me, you're going to bring some of your best clients to impress and reward them for their business.

We met our instructor Jim and he was awesome. He showed us some pistols and we went on to the range. There we met Julian. He was also incredible. My wife was a first time shooter and he made her feel relaxed and confident with his instructions. She was a little intimidated by the guns at first but walked away with lots of confidence and wants to go back.
She’s already filed for a permit and is planning another trip! Great job done by all!!

I've been going to GFH for years now & my experience has always been GREAT! The facility is always clean with great lighting. They've recently renovated making the facility more spacious allowing for more group parties, firearm training/safety courses & CCW licensing. The GFH staff provides exceptional customer service, they're knowledgeable & very welcoming.
A first time shooter will feel very at ease after interacting with GFH's friendly staff. While in the range you'll feel safe b/c they're several instructors observing everyone shooting. They'll frequently stop by to ask if you're okay or have any questions. They'll also provide great feedback on technique to improve one's proficiency and will remind you of safety protocol to keep you sharp.
My last time there I took my lady & 2 boys (14&17). We shot my Glock 27 and rented an AK-47. Dan was one of those instructors helping us and he was amazing! He really took his time going through everything with us. It felt like we had our own personal firearm instructor. He was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. He made sure everyone was comfortable

I am a member at Gun for Hire Shooting Range. The new members only range is awesome. No wait times, great professional and safe range. Was there with my girlfriend last weekend in November. My girlfriend has never shot before. One of the range officers went beyond helping out my girlfriend while she was shooting my Glock 19 - 9mm. Range officer Richie gave her instruction with the grip and how how to use the sights more efficiently. Within minutes she was shooting much better and she really enjoyed herself. Richie has also helped me out at other times when I was there on my own. Just want to say thanks to Richie for making my girlfriends first time shooting more enjoyable and giving her the confidence she needed to shoot better.

Ive Been shooting here for just under a year . This range is incredibly clean and organized. Everyone that works here is very helpful and friendly . Classrooms are very Clean as well . This is a VERY pro 2a place which is awesome ! I’ve been told by many that the owner really is fighting not only for his right to stay open in our state , but for our rights as responsible gun owners ! Nice to know a portion of our fees go to this . My last 4 times here I’ve brought and introduced 4 new people to our range.
All of the safety officers are very helpful and vigilant and offer tips . Yesterday was an off day for me. I couldn’t keep my grouping to save my life. I was getting frustrated and it was clear, a special shout out to Don. He helped me correct what I was doing wrong and helped me reset. He is the man !!!!
