The marine aquarium is an interesting place to visit, but you should be prepared for a somewhat less than professional presentation. The place struck us as being a bit run-down, but it's clear that the staff are sincere and dedicated in their efforts. The $42...More

I've been to this marine aquarium many years ago. Just went back and it is really nice. Someone mentioned in a review I read that, it was "unkempt" or not a pretty, flashy place. Well.... it's not, and not suppose to be. It's a teaching...More

This was a cute, home spun, mostly volunteered staffed small aquarium, with a charm all its own. The movie Dolphen Tail, which features this small aquarium, has spurred an explosive growth in visitors in the past few years. Miraculously the aquarium has retained it’s hometown...More

We stopped by here because our original plans fell apart. There is not a huge amount of animals here to see but the staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the ones there. This is a research and rescue aquarium not your basic tourist...More

I spent 2 hours and I feel like I did everything (except the extended boat tours). It was the perfect amount of time to do something before lunch. It's not really an aquarium though. I would describe it more as a public hospital. I like...More

Although the aquarium is small, there is a lot to see. Make sure you take the boat excursion. Best time to visit is early in the day before it gets hot.

A bit over-rated and pricey. Good for kids....nice enough but not worth the price - more of a tourist trap.

Yes they do have discounts for Vets, I don't remember what it was exactly but I think it was like half off. The money goes to the center so that they can help the rescues, that is some what comforting, I guess. :)

We went during the week. I would check the web site or phone to check the activities scheduled for the weekend vs the week. My experience in Florida has been that weekdays are the best for any activity.
