With hundreds of things to do on Clearwater Beach, the main attraction is still pretty much its near-perfect beach (USA Today readers voted Clearwater Beach "Best Beach Town in Florida" in 2013). Beautiful white sand and clear, shallow water make...more

The beach sand is fine grain and powder soft. Feels like walking on flour. Lots of hotels along this beach. There is pier 60 which can be fished from and has craft vendors on it. Downside is heavy traffic.

Stayed at the Wyndham Grand at Clearwater Beach. We used timeshare points and was placed in a two bedroom Presidental unit. The view of the beach and sunsets were wonderful. One of the two bathrooms was over 90 square feet.

We love this area. Plenty of relaxing spots to catch a tan, catch vitamin D, get away for the day to day stuff, and just plain do nothing. Plenty of hotels, restaurants, shops, ice cream and sweet spots, and sights to see are here. Bring...More

This beach does live up to the reviews. The sand is so soft and pretty. The views are incredible. I just wish the weather was nicer for us to actually use and enjoy the beach because it would have made it even more incredible

Wow, this beach really met all our expectations! We only visited the beach for 1 hour since we went by car and had to go further south for our hotel. But I would have NO problem visiting south beach for a couple of days and...More

It is one of the nicest, white sand beaches you'll see anywhere. And long and wide. You will be very glad that you went to Clearwater Beach, but the locals hope you don't come back. lol

If you are going during spring training expect most of the beaches to be packed. Fort Myers has two major league teams and those games often sell out. Fort Myers beach is usually crowded and Sanibel Island is a traffic jam. More

Even though you are now into the Snowbird season all Clearwater beaches are large enough to have room.

We found a few cafes in Clearwater where the shops are but preferred for a special meal to go to Dunedin which is nearby.
