This would be a great little home to tour once it is restored and preserved. As it stands, it's a wreck. I visited while the place was fenced in and painters were beginning to work on the exterior. It is a landmark and represents an important part of Coral Gables history. I hope that it receives the attention that it... More

It's being renovated but not well advertised that it's been closed- staff at Coral Gables museum were not sure., and the Merrick web site is not very explicit !

Make a reservation and stop by this beautiful artifact of by-gone old Miama vernacular architecture. The interiors make you want to climb into a time machine and head back to a more peaceful time. Wonderfully preserved and explained by the docents, this is a must-see for those visiting Coral Gables for the first and only time. It's also a pleasnat... More

George Merrick evokes thoughts of the great developer of Coral Gables. Our visit to the Merrick House was an eye-opener. The house is small and modest and well restored. The docent who gave the tour provided a lot of interesting historical perspective about the man and the development of Coral Gables in the 1920s. Total visit time is about 45... More

Nobody is ever there to have it open. I am a native of Coral Gables and was back home visiting. I really wanted to see this but could not find hours for it. We went by and there was no one there. I was disappointed. This was in the summer of 2013 and I am just now finishing this review.... More

There is no way to describe this place. You simply MUST see it. It's BREATHTAKING, to say the least. A piece of history nesseled in the most beautiful garden you can possibly imagine. You gotta see it to belive it.

Found this very nice architectural historical district in Coral Gables. One of the highlights is Merrick House. Unfortunately, was not open to tour when I was there, but I took a look walk to explore the rich architectural heritage of this older Spanish style area on Coral Way. I highly recommend you take the time to explore this, if you... More

Quick your. Not much to see. The house is quaint and small. The area is beautiful. This would take you about 20 minutes to see.
