Manatees are everywhere! This is such a charming area! So much to do here! If you enjoy the outdoors and are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the place! Manatee tours, kayaking, snorkeling, b&b’s, amazing restaurants, archeological site, wildlife refuge, the list goes on! I highly recommend a trip in the winter during manatee season or one in the summer during scallop season. The dining options are a huge highlight of this area as well! …

Drove around and visited Three Sisters Springs where the manatees live for the winter. We also had some great BBQ at Bubbaques in Heritage Village. We'll be trying some other recommended places to eat in the next several weeks.

What a quaint little town went to see manatees, visited some shops and had lunch we really enjoyed see the sights loved this little town

This area is under the auspices of both the county and federal governments. Lots to experience from hiking to boating to swimming to manatee observing to bird watching. Lots of options.
