We were staying at a local hotel and looking for someplace to walk and the front desk clerk suggested walking to the Secret Woods. So glad she did! What a great place! Their interpretive center would be great for kids to play and learn at. We took the public tour at 9:30 with Scott who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate... More

A gentle 90 minute stroll including some bench lolling. Not much wildlife revealed itself on our visit but it still takes you away from the crowds and the traffic and the routines. Easy parking. Nice boardwalks, accessible to everyone. Clean washrooms. Plenty of benches. Paths are mostly sheltered from the sun by the overhanging trees. Yes, pleasant is the best... More

We had an hour to kill in Plantation. We were too far from beach and were going to eat later during a very hectic weekend, so we decided to check out the nature center. We found it to be a really nice way to get away from the frantic nature of our weekend, as well as the flashy side of... More

If you like nature walks, visit this place for an hour on the way to the Fort Lauderdale airport. It has just under a mile of flat, well-maintained walking trails through woodlands and swampland. I thought it was lovely. Note: they do not allow picnics.

It is called Secret Woods because it is really difficult to find but WOW is it worth it. When you are here, you will feel like you have discovered another world. It is SOOOOO beautiful and peaceful here. It is truly one of our favorite places even in the summer heat because it is always cool and comfortable here. I... More

I went to a great event here. I know that it was reasonably priced and a nice atmosphere and you feel like you're in the woods or at least a nice park. Big dining hall and an informal quality to it. Good for weddings or probably even corporate events. I don't know what else they have there but thumbs up... More

Beautiful little gem in the middle of an urban area. Great place to visit for a few hours. The facilities are very clean and informative, and it's an easy park to access.

This place was very neat! You can walk 2 trails and see some really neat wildlife. We saw crabs, birds, squirrels, lizards and some beautiful spiders. You can etch drawings along one of the trails and they will give you a scavenger hunt list. Though we don't have pokemongo, they do have Pokemon listed that you can find. Unfortunately it... More
