I have visited the now called Dr. Von Mizzell-Eula Johnson State Park several times during the years. In the morning there is not a lot of people but comes 11:00am the place is really crowed. If you go during a Holiday weekend be there early...More

We visited while in the area, the beach has had considerable erosion and was covered in grass and trash. The only nice thing about the park is the pavilions which were good to sit and eat lunch.

This state park is located in the Dania Beach area and can get quite busy on weekends. It has a beautiful stretch of beach but for me the nicest component of this park is the jetty walk on the north side of the park. It's...More

There are no lifeguards and the waters can be rough. The greatest thing about this beach is it is right next to the pier - a great stroll atop the ocean and better yet, the restaurant has views in every direction and from every seat....More

We were here on a beautiful, sunny, Friday morning. We practically had the park you ourselves. The entrance fee was well worth it. The beach was clean and deserted. We found some shells, walked the beach and waded in the ocean. We also walked the...More

On weekends 4 to 5 cruise ships embarking on an adventure. Fishing off the south jetty either sunrise or sunset. Free after paid admission to the park. They recently changed the name of the park, but to me it will always be Hugh Lloyd Taylor...More

This is a wonderful park with access to the beach, picnic places and views of the giant cruise ships that are going out to sea. You're so close you feel like you can reach out and touch them. Most of them leave between 4 and...More

One of the favorite bike rides around Hollywood Beach is to ride north to the fishing pier. And that's a good ride. But a well-kept secret is that if you keep riding north along US Highway A1A, you come to an amazing park that extends...More

Great park with lots of beach. Great for biking, walking, hanging at the beach. Saw raccoons and iguanas. Admission for the car was 6.00.

We were looking for a place to host a baby shower and we also wanted to enjoy the outdoors. This was such a great choice because we hadn't spent time together as a family and everybody was home from college. The park is beautiful, the...More

Hi. We have time between our cruise ship docking and our flight home. Wondering if it is possible to walk to the entrance of the park? Or do we need to use transportation? We will have luggage unless I can figure out a plan for that too! Any suggestions helpful.

Hi sorry for the delay ... Really too far , a bike is quite a ride , I'd suggest a car rental - keep luggage in the trunk - and ther will be a parking fee ( not sure how much ) ... But if it's a real secluded beach your... More

May guests bring food and their own water into the park? Surely will all that physical activity we will get hungry or need a snack.

When we entered by car, didn't notice anything at the toll booth which prohibited food or water. I'd say there's no problem, as long as people properly dispose of any trash. Enjoy a great day at the park!
