- Jason WWells, Maine174 contributionsAmazing placeWe took a tour here and were disappointed at first because we were allowed on the track or pits due to activity gearing up for the race the following weekend. However, while we were in the stands, all the cars came out for a practice race and THAT was totally worth it!. This place is much bigger than I thought and after visiting, my nephew now wants to see a daytona race.Visited January 2023Written January 28, 2023
- Impala guy836 contributionsOK but had more content a few years agoThe tour was ok but they are taking parts of it bit by bit. No media center tour, no standing on the stage. We have taken it four times in 13 years and you do NOT get as much as you used to for the money. The tour is not cheap. The vehicles and guides are still top notch…..Visited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten February 17, 2023
- Brenda B5 contributionsGood Racing- Bad Camping and People MovingYou can't beat the racing but there are a lot of improvements that need to be made by the track. We camped in the infield for the 3rd time and encountered the same issues every year- gross showers and a lack of adequate ADA transportation to the grandstands. My disabled father had to walk long distances because the "on call" ADA carts are impossible to get a hold of. You have to rely on Joy Ride which is supposed to be first come first serve but if you don't have a driver's number they won't stop for you. Their shuttles are a joke- you have to walk a long distance to get one so not an option for a handicapped person. They just got FEMA money so instead if improvements to the showers they paved the campsites. Showers are DISGUSTING! Hair and dirt on the floors, no water pressure, no mirrors and no plugs for hair dryers. The World Center of Racing can do so much better!Visited February 2023Travelled with friendsWritten February 18, 2023
- doublenatureloverKissimmee, Florida112 contributionsBad Day at the Track.Did not go this year. Last visit we paid for Handicap Seats. When we arrived non handicap seats . I couldn't carry a 230 lb man 20 seats. Letter from management expressed sorrow but no seats no refund. Then I paid for 50 edition of 500 Leather Coat. After one Year the plastic piping started coming off. Only got to wear once. No apology no resolve no refund.Visited February 2023Travelled with familyWritten February 21, 2023

Staff were friendly and knowledgable, food and drink is what you would expect at a venue like this.Visited February 2023Written February 23, 2023

It was hysterical to see the men’s line longer than the ladies! Quite the experience and would love to attend again.Visited February 2023Written February 25, 2023
- Steve GSelby, United Kingdom54 contributionsFantastic!!What an amazing event the Daytona 500 is. If your a race fan put it on your list to see. We stayed in Daytona Beach so had a short drive to the free Lot7 parking. If you use it make sure you know where your car is, use `what 3 words` or something, it will be dark when you return. After the race only waited 20mins for a bus back to the Lot 7 its a very efficient operation they have going on there. I did think the range of food offerings would be greater than there was but you can get something, I would take food with us next time. Make sure you go on the track before the race, gives you a whole different perspective on the place. The race was exciting and the air display although not the Red Arrows was great seeing and hearing! the Thunderbirds Jets flying over your head was awesome.Visited February 2023Written February 26, 2023
- Lauren C2 contributionsModern MarvelWhat an amazing venue! The sheer size was overwhelming and should be considered one of the modern wonders of the world! Supercross was a very fun inexpensive event that kicked off bike week! Americans came from all over the country to pray to GOD, sing the national anthem and watch some really FAST bikes!!!!!Visited March 2023Travelled with friendsWritten March 5, 2023
- Joyce C16 contributionsYou will feel the need... the need for speedI took the Daytona Speedway tour not knowing anything about racing except the name. Of course the tour did not make me an expert but it did make me appreciate the scale and magnitude of the Daytona 500 and its massive home to other kinds of motor sports. Photos cannot compare to seeing the place in person. Value for money, the 1 hour tour takes the visitor to the speedway, the stands, the pits and the museum.Highly recommended if you visit the Daytona area.Visited March 2023Written March 5, 2023
- 4adventures398 contributionsLackluster Museum and Gift Shop experienceLackluster experience with every staff member, minus the young lady at the photo booth was on their personal phones, with no regards to the guests. The track tour was closed on the day of our visit "due to an event" which was ok with us. Never the less we opted to pay and take the self guided museum tour. Beautiful space looks like they spent millions but all the video displays in each space were turned off. The huge main theatre had its doors open and just running a loop of past Daytona races. Not dramatic like I had thought. Comments from our family included "I thought it would be more noisy" and "be more exciting - its Nascar!" It was like a library in there. Just surprised overall. We did stop in the gift shop that was open, again lackluster experience with staff behind the counter. Never greeted just said "have a nice day" once they handed us our bag with our days purchase. Just overall surprised at the presentation and experience.Visited March 2023Written March 24, 2023

I am a huge fan of NASCAR/Speedway. It was a pleasure visiting Daytona International Speedway. Me and my boyfriend had a wee ride around the stadium with a wonderful guide who showed a high skill knowledge about the place itself as well as NASCAR background and its history.
Moreover, we have seen a professional NASCAR driver speeding up around the stadium which was very exciting and satisfying.
I was speechless being able to see the inside of Speedway race. I got a chance to pop into one of the NASCAR cars and enjoy the moment :)

We went as it felt like something one should do when in the area and it was interesting to learn about different aspects of the speedway and NASCAR racing generally. Price was very reasonable. But overall a little underwhelming for us.

My family were visiting from overseas and my 5 year old son is crazy about car racing so we decided to go to the Daytona 400 on the Friday night. We arrived early and got parking no problem. From the minute we arrived at the car park everyone was so friendly. They were especially nice to my 2 children which was so lovely. The family area was very welcoming and my children loved the Lego area. I’ve been to many sporting events in many countries but I was blown away with how family friendly Daytona is. Every stand we passed they gave the kids something. They got free hats, sun glasses a stuffed toy a fidget toy, free Coke Zero. They received rookie badges and there was an area with bouncing castles that they loved before the race. We got to get up close and see the cars before the race. I was worried about the noise but once we got ear plugs we all really enjoyed the race. Such a fun family event that I hope to visit again. If you get a chance to go to Daytona for a race do, you won’t regret it.

Great ride along experience in the Nascar experience Daytona Speedway. We did the 3 lap ride with the video and bought 2 great tshirts. Our son had a great smile on his face and the staff was extremely friendly. Next time, we do the 6 laps.

Great experience! Purchased the VIP tour and it was worth it. Great bus ride to the archives then around the track, stopping at the start/finish line, followed by going up to the top of the main grandstand 180’ up. Great views of the entire track. Finished up going through the museum which includes all racing forms, not solely NASCAR.

Being in Daytona Beach we simply had to pop by here and learn about the whole speedway experience. Having driven right around the outside of the whole grounds we eventually found the entrance to the free car park where the museum and tours were located. Having found the main entrance we decided that we would like to take the next tour. A whole miscellaneous group of us clambered onto a trailer being pulled by a truck being driven by a chatty, chirpy older gentleman who then drove us around the outside and the inner track of the speedway sharing stories and anecdotes all the way. It was good to visit the winners enclosure and then to view the track from the Toyota stand way up high. A few brave souls were on the race track being driven by veteran racers or splashing out and driving themselves. After the tour we spent quite some time visiting the museum which is packed full of cars including the last winner of the 2023 Daytona 500. A very worthwhile stop off on our road trip of the Eastern coastline of the USA.

Daytona is super fabulous when it's biker's week or hot rod show. When there is nothing going on, it's very calm and ordinary.

I confess to being in the what’s the point of oval racing. However, having taken a tour of the circuit as we were in the area I now have going to a race on my bucket list. Everyone at the speedway was very friendly and knowledgeable. Walking on the track gives you a whole new perspective on the racing. We went with low expectations and loved every minute. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone with even the slightest interest in motor sport.

Came here with my wife for the Daytona 500 and I was blown away by this place. Last time I was here was for the Daytona 200 back in 2012 and they did a massive renovation project here since then.
First of all I love that they let you bring your own cooler with beer and snacks etc. Once inside this place is top notch, tons of booths, bathrooms well maintained and clean, just overall great atmosphere.
Even the gift shop was amazing, they had several across the venue, and they had stuff you can't get anywhere else and they were full blown stores. I didn't but food, I know the beer was about $10.00 a can but as I mentioned, they do let you bring your own (Which I think is extremely cool, COTA take note!)

It is not pleasant when they stand in front of you. But it is part of it. Maybe a thirty second stretch or ? If you are In a Wheelchair as my son , it is aggravating for three hours.

Are there handicapped areas in the grandstands? My wife and I are both mobility impaired and ride scooters.

Planning my first trip to the Daytona 500 this year. It looks like there are events at the Speedway in the days leading up to the event. If I only buy tickets for the race, does that entitle me to visit and participate on those days? Alternatively, if I only attend on Sunday, is there anything to see or do before the race that should be on my radar? Thank you!

I am bringing my teenage son who has autism and is obese to the Daytona 500 this year. He loves the movie Cars and autoracing, and this is his senior trip with Dad. My main issue is, its too late to get a hotel room near the track, so we will likely stay near Orlando and drive over. My son is a very big kid and although he gets around okay, walking a great distance may be difficult. I don't need to be there when the green flag drops as we won't be there the whole race, maybe only 2 hours. Arrive a little late and leave a bit early- what are my best options for this? Thanks! Hi, we are both reasonably fit but we did see that there were many facilities for any disabled person, the staff are on hand all the time , lots of lifts etc. Suggest that you contact the customer service crew, who we are sure will be able to offer assistance. Hope you manage to have a wonderful experience.
Hi, me, my wife and two kids (9 and 13 yrs) travel to Florida from Norway, and will be in Daytona 17-20 February 2023. We would like to catch a race at Daytona.
Neither my wife or kids are very interested in cars or motorsports, so we would mainly go for the total experience, not for the race itself.
Is the crowd and general experience good for the 250 and 300 as well? Or should we spend the extra $$ on Daytona 500?

The entire race week is fantastic. The crowd will be greater on Sunday for the 500. The crowd is massive and extreme delays should be expected, allow plenty of time to get into the speedway and to leave after the race. Since the rest of your family are not race fans you may want to consider leaving before the end of the race.
