We went to Oyster Pub based off of reviews, and hoping for some good oysters and other seafood, expecting a “pub”. When we walked in, it was clear we were in a sports bar. Not that this is a bad thing, but it was not at all what we were expecting and the “feel” was not what we were looking for. Clean, lots of tables and booths, with tv’s everywhere and a huge bar. Very nice place, but definitely a sports bar type of establishment, not a local seafood joint.
We ordered a dozen steamed oysters right away, then took time deciding on our meals. The menu is really pretty basic, and we decided on a fried Mahi sandwich and a fried shrimp platter. Truly and honestly not expecting to be wowed at all. The oysters came out fast, were fresh tasting, steamed perfectly, and came with all the accoutrements you would want. Good start! Our meals followed just as we finished our last oyster, and to our surprise the shrimp were plump and juicy with light and tasty breading. The hush puppies were very good, the fries were very good, and the slaw was good as well. A bit dry, but sweet and fresh. The fried Mahi was delicious, light, and cooked perfectly. We literally ate everything; no leftovers at all.
What we thought was a local pub turned out to be a sports bar, that made us think we’d be disappointed. What we ended up with was a local place, with a surprising interior, that absolutely delivered on the food and the service. We will 100% return in a future visit to the area!

The Oyster Pub has been doing it right for many years in Daytona Beach. I use to frequent here when I lived in the area 20 plus years ago. Every time I visit Daytona I still stop for food and drinks. The service, food and drinks are always good. Great place to watch sports with tons of TVs. I recommend the Oyster Pub I dont think it will disappoint.

If you are in Daytona Beach, you must visit this Pub. They have the best oysters at any time of the year and are very creative in how they present them. We tried three dishes: Fitzpatrick, Fiesta (a little spicy), and Charcoal oysters. All of them were delicious. The service is fast and friendly. However, they also serve other dishes as well. On Sunday, you can watch a football game and grab something to eat. Fun atmosphere!

My wife and I weren't real hungry and because we like oysters and the reviews were so good we decided to walk to the Oyster Pub. Upon our arrival we chose to sit at the bar because there was a wait for tables. Jessica approached us and asked if she could get us anything. We chose to get two waters with lemon. The waters arrived and no lemon. She asked if we wanted menus. We said yes. We looked at the menus and chose chicken wings and oysters. She said there was a shortage of chicken wings. We chose to go with the loaded nachos instead and I ordered a beer. The nachos arrived shortly afterwards. No plates were provided and the salsa in the cup was about the amount of a tablespoon. We ordered another salsa. Jessica never came back although didn't hesitate to flirt with the guys at the bar next to us. I reordered my beer from another server as well as plates. I told my wife I didn't think we would get our oysters and just as we were finishing our nachos the oysters arrived. The server shucked them and they were amazing. While we were eating the oysters Jessica came by and asked if everything was okay. I chose not to respond. Mom always told me if I didn't have anything good to say, not to say anything at all. The nachos were ok, the oysters were amazing, Jessica's serviced sucked.

We went twice in three days. Both times for dinner. Once on Thursday and once on Friday. Both night had a completely different vibe. The food was very good both nights. We had oysters in three different styles and all were good. The rest of our food was also good. The server, Allison was fantastic. She was attentive and helpful. On Friday, there was a very obnoxious loud drunk at the bar right next to out table. She was barefoot and would sit with her feet up on a bar stool. It was rather nasty. The restaurant was full and there were no additional tables, or we would have asked to move. No one seemed to address this individual which rather annoyed me. It got so bad that we left immediately after finishing our food rather then lingering for another drink or two. The server apologized, but it was clearly out of her hands.

Front desk clerk at condo we stayed at recommended The Oyster Pub when we asked where could we get fresh oysters. Not only were the oysters good, the service and hospitality was great! Great bar staff!
We were visiting the area a week before Christmas 2020. In the area for 4 nights and no matter where we went, we found ourselves back at the Oyster Pub each night, even if we ate elsewhere earlier.
Really liked this place and will go back next time we’re in the area!

It’s been three years since we have been able to visit Florida due to Covid. One of our first stops is always The Oyster Pub, for their amazing chargrilled oysters. This time around we had the utmost pleasure of being served by Liz who had the brightest and happiest smile along with a sparkling personality. She made our coming and going indulgence of oysters that much better. We have a friend in Liz and look forward to seeing her in May!!

We enjoyed this spur of the moment stop. Saw the reviews and decided it was time for lunch. Since they had just opened we had no problem getting a seat and was waited on immediately. We tried the coconut shrimp appetizer, 12 raw oysters, and 12 chargrilled ones. The shrimp was good but the sauce that came with them was really lacking. The raw oysters came with crackers, hot sauce, cocktail sauce and fresh horseradish. I prefer to make my own sauce so I asked for ketchup and it was very quickly brought. These oysters were exactly as expected. Now for the Chargrilled dozen. All we can say is WOW, they where better than we could have imagined. After we each had one, we wished we had ordered two dozen of them alone. All in all we can confidently recommend trying this place out.

This is a large bar and restaurant close to the beach. They have raw bar items, wings, sandwiches and similar items. Lots of beers on tap and specialty drinks. We ate at the bar and had friendly and attentive service.

You gotta stop here when visiting the strip on Daytona Beach. Oysters on point. Get the grilled ones... TRUST ME. Best drinks in town. All the food is great. Fast service and friendly staff.
