I have gone to 2 of this season's events (Spamalot and Driving Miss Daisy) and both have been professionally done and thoroughly enjoyable. As a native New Yorker and frequent Broadway visitor I was impressed by the quality of this community theater. In addition, the renovation of the theater is terrific - comfortable seating in a beautiful environment. Even the... More

I have been to multiple performances in this theater and it never fails to satisfy! Unbelievable performances by local talent! The theater itself is rich with history and has been beautifully restored to show off it's beauty! Don't miss an opportunity to visit this theater and its productions!

I saw A Christmas Carol at this theater and the actors were really good. I was very impressed with the production. The theater itself is one of those old small auditoriums were you can feel like you are really able to be a part of the audience and not one of thousands of people in larger venues. I can't wait... Excellent production great old theater so glad it is being used. We used to go there to see movies many years ago and it is a fantastic old timey building. We actually bought tickets for a January event

We took our family to see The Athens Theatre's production of "A Christmas Carol", and I must say that it was absolutely FABULOUS! From start to finish, this theatre companies production values were first rate. The Lighting, Sound, Scenery, etc... were just terrific! WOW! We cant wait to go back for their next production. What a HIT!

This classic drama of the redemption of one man's soul should not have been presented as a musical comedy--complete with a flamboyantly hammy Ghost of Christmas Present and his chorus line of dancing girls and a dwarf in the role of a female toddler who was ecstatically kissing and hugging her doll every time she was on stage. This was... More

It was an excellent production. The cast did a super job and it was really delightful. Perfect for all ages and really got you in the Christmas. Still some shows left; if you haven't seen it I would highly recommend going.

A great place to see a play. This historical theatre was first opened in 1922. It has since been restored. It's a small but very gorgeous venue. Additionally, there's plenty of free parking. We had seats up front, but really not a bad seat in the house. They have beer, wine, and soft drinks up front. We saw the Christmas... More

Gorgeous theatre, fun with quality entertainment. Not to be missed, meet Dolores, Ms. Athens. She'll be the one with the fun personality, crazy hair and hats. Seating in balcony feels like a blast from the past...
