About
The Destin Harbor Boardwalk is a vibrant promenade along Florida’s Emerald Coast and has plenty of fun activities. You can take a stroll along the habor and treat yourself to the freshest seafood in town, or even embark on a dolphin tour. Alternatively, head off to neighboring Norriego Point to snorkel in the crystal clear waters. If you're looking to indulge in an extra thrill, get on a zip line or do some rock climbing. During summer, the area is at its liveliest, as crowds come to watch live concerts and nightly fireworks shows. – Tripadvisor

Our dolphin tour was cancelled due to a storm. The company refunded our money but the people who own the board walk per their employees stated we still had to pay for parking. My issue with this is they give you thirty minutes for free parking. The cruise instructs you to arrive an hour before. We had a large group. We arrived at 12:42. We did not enjoy the actual boardwalk, I wouldn’t be complaining if I did. We literally checked in, stood in line and sat on the docked boat until they cancelled. When I asked to speak to a manager they told me, management won’t be as nice to you and we don’t have a way to contact them. In fact they told me the company who cancelled would be better to contact for this matter. Parking is 10 per car, the boat held over 100 people, they rack up daily. There’s no reason to be greedy and charge people if there tours are cancelled. There needs to be a better system in place, if no refunds give free parking for the rescheduled cruise.

There was a $10 parking fee(?!) restaurants were busy and shops were high dollar T-shirt souvenir shops. Not worth the money and won’t go back. If parking was free maybe, but after quarantine you’d think they would welcome business not overcharge. We left and found a nearby restaurant with no waiting. 45 minute wait at this venue for seating. Not worth the line to park and the line to pay as you exit for basically tourist shops.

We have visited Destin Boardwalk for many years and it gets more crowded with vendors and attractions every time. The latest change is the $10 to park without adequate spaces for the amount of vehicles they let in. People circle forever to get a spot.

We're a mature (old!) couple, not interested in the tatoos, sketch artists, etc. We went early, visited the shops, had a cold drink and left just when it was getting crowded in the late morning.
I did have a delicious pineapple Dole Whip for the very reasonable price of $5 (half what is charged at WDW).

We enjoyed walking the harbor. The best thing we did was the virtual reality place, where we screamed our heads off shooting bad guys in “carnival”. The girls loved it so much they went back and did “zombies”. So much fun! We also walked through the mirror maze which was trippy but short. We ate at East Pass which was the only restaurant with no wait. Food was excellent!

This is a terrific place to shop, eat and do fun activities. Our group (4 adults and 2 pre-teens) went on the Seablaster Dolphin Tour boat. We had a great time! The captain and his two crew mates engaged the passengers and kept the free beer, wine, water and sodas coming the whole trip. We got to see lots of dolphins and then went on a fast ride. At one point, each kid on the boat got to steer and blow the horn. After returning, we had a great dinner at Margaritaville. This is a fun and worthwhile tourist location.

This is the perfect place to get a henna temporary tattoo for only five bucks. They also sell very good T-shirts for only $10. We did not eat at Jimmy Buffett‘s Margaritaville since the way it was well over one hour. We dined at AJ’s instead. AJ’s had very good food, service. Lunch special prices for locally caught Gulf grouper and shrimp kept our bill below $50 for two people. Best of all, they offer an absolutely spectacular view of the ocean while you dine from your table.

Great place for an evening out. After dinner we strolled along the boardwalk, you could hear the different bands from various places playing. Just don't get hooked into doing the "bar hanging challenge", my son tried it and said the bar twists when the timer starts. We had a pineapple drink from one of the many drink/food stands. Kids did the zipline and said it was lots of fun.

Nice place. My only complaint is the $20 parking fee with no other options unless you want to park a mile down the road. I know it’s due to Wyndham and not the Harbor so no points lost against Harbor Walk. Wyndham has monopolized the parking and $20 is outrageous especially if you’re only there a couple of hours. It’s ridiculous! Here on vacation from Texas…We had gone to the Theatre to see the magic show and decided to walk around afterward. It wasn’t busy because almost everything was closed. It was late eve and I’m sure most businesses open early and close about dark. We will come back during the day. I want to try the zip line!!

Overrated and lacking any sense of planning. Visited on a Saturday night in late September 2023. Assumed it was going to be busy so we paid $15 to park across the street in a city parking lot. Once we were able to safely cross a busy highway their was no clear indicator where the entrance was. We ended up cutting through a restaurant parking lot. The boardwalks main attractions were at the other end of where we entered, making for a long journey to and from our vehicle. Ironically the Boardwalk closes at 10pm on a Saturday night!! The bars were packed but it looked like most of the shops had given up by 8pm.
Overall, it's just a poorly designed strip mall next to a bunch of fishing boats.

Are leased dogs allowed on Boardwalk?
Written February 27, 2022

We have three people that want to do deep sea fishing . Is there a way to find a few more people to share the cost as it appears you rent out the entire boat no matter how many people? Most are max of 6. Or do we risk it when we get there?

We are going to be there the third week of March. I have a handicapped 11 year old grandson. He uses a walker or a wheelchair. I am reading about how terrible the parking is and how crowded the boardwalk is would it be worth the trip? I also have a 14 year old and and 11 year old grand daughters. My husband drives a f350 truck so parking can be challenging. Any information would be appreciated. And if you have any other things to do while in the area it would be appreciated.

Get there early to find a parking space as it could be Spring Break Crowded. I would suggest parking in AJ's Oyster House Parking Lot as there is easy access for a wheelchair down to the Boardwalk Harbor Area. There is also Public Parking between Coyote Ugly and the Emerald Grand Hotel. But I am not sure about Wheelchair access. We always use the stairs there, I just don't recall a ramp. I hope you enjoy your trip. Yes it is worth the trip. Dolphins sometimes come up in the harbor and the Pelicans and Seaguls are quite entertaining too.

What attractions will be open during our visit of March 29- April 3?
Written January 24, 2020
I was there roughly that time of year a few years ago. Not sure how helpful this will be, but it's kind of hit or miss. Some stuff will be open, some stuff will be shut down for the winter. But there's definitely things to do and things to eat to make it worth a visit if you're in the area. And as I recall, we were able to get out on a boat for a little bit, as well.

Hi, pat. What would you like to know about this attraction? what do you do at the boardwalk? review I read says that they only took 2 hours. Not sure what they meant. Thanks!

We ate at a restaurant, took a boat tour from the boardwalk and played a 3D video game. It isn’t a lot to do and the boardwalk is not extensive and it is short.

When do all the shops open for the season? We were going to go in December but decided to hold off once everything opens. We are thinking beginning or middle of May but wanted to verify everything would be open.
Written January 5, 2019
Everything was open when we went including the restaurants. We even took a dolphin tour from the boardwalk. The boardwalk isn’t extensive like AC, OC or others.
