The Museum was great the people there a very knowledgable and everyone thing in the museum is interesting. Very up on how Destin got put on the map. Why the sand is so white and how is was a great fishing village.

This is a small authentic museum with staff who have personal ties to the historic families of Destin. Well worth the admission for an hour just to better understand the community spirit and history of Destin.

My wife and I spent a couple hours at this museum. Very well worth the time we spent to learn more about the region and it's importance in the fishing industry. Well presented and informative.

We visited here for the first time after living in the area for 10 years. I found it to be very interesting with many great exhibits and some very big fish. Admission is 4 or 5 dollars.

Go with your thinking cap on. So much to learn, and the staff is incredibly knowledged of local history. Loved it. Small and quaint. And, the walk through the old Post Office was charming.

The hours are Tuesday thru Saturday 10AM - 4PM. Fees, if I recall are Adults $5, seniors and military $4 with all students $3. Under 6 years of age are free.
