be careful. lots of wild boar...lol

great place to hike and bring the dog. be careful...lots of wild life like pigs and bears. bring a whistle or make lots of noise.

The Ross Prairie Campground is small and has no trees or grass. The trails however are great to walk. The camping sites are small and close together. The bathroomost is far away and has only two showers and stalls in both male and female. My husband called it the dungeon. The staff is nice but there is no control over... More

Plenty of hiking trails for you and your horse. Typical Florida woodland hiking not far from the Rainbow River.

We camped here for about 5 days in our 5th Wheel. The pull-through slots are a plus with water/electricity. Horses are allowed and tethered. The only drawback was the restroom. for Mountain Bikers ,Hikers or Horse back riders ...Great parking for the Horse Trailers . Mountain Bikers will have a rough go at first but it gets better once you get out of the sugar sand and the Horse back riding is excellent

Just watch out for deer flies... aside from that the bond with all the sites of raw undisturbed nature and it wild life is breathe taking..

If you are looking to just get out of town and relax, this is a nice place. If you have horses, then it's designed especially for you. Horse trails, hiking trails and a mountain bike trail maintained by the Ocala Mountain Bike Association. All the trails are well maintained. North on Hwy 200 is a center with Walmart, and plenty...
