One of Florida's best kept secrets

This is a wonderful state park. Great facilities and one can walk the beach without being overrun by visitors. Great place to watch sunsets.

I enjoyed it as the old Florida that I remember visiting as a kid. I really like the Englewood area.

Mrs. J had said why don't we go to Florida in November and have Thanksgiving in shorts? You know me I'm always going to say yes to traveling. After a hectic flight and drive we settled into her nephews home. Thanks Derrick! If you're looking for relaxation; a quiet reconnection to sand sea and ocean air: this is the place... More

Great day swimming, shark tooth hunting and snorkeling on south end. Trails to explore and few people at this time of year.

Great views of Stump pass and Lemon Bay, bout a long walk through sand. $3 parking charge, but very beautiful. Placed right at the southern tip of Manasota Key.

Arrived by boat at the southern end of the park, we pulled the boat on the beach and walked north on the beach. Very nice beach with lots of birds to view and photograph. Also went swimming, really enjoyed the stop at Stump Pass Beach.

Great place to walk the beach but state park requires a $3 (no attendant) be placed in an envelope and deposited in the container. I forget to have 3 ones too many times. Wonderful place for beaching or walking.

Wonderful beach spot with excellent bathroom facilities. If you are energetic, you can walk the 1/2 - 1 mile distance down to the pass, but then you have to come back...! Highly recommended.
