Best beach to walk and collect shells and sharks teeth. Go early in the morning though as parking gets full later in the day.

I live 5min. from Manasota Beach and it a superb beach. You have fun finding sharks teeth, shells of all sorts at the right time and sand dollars if you snorkel a little ways off shore. Be sure to visit my Budddy "THE BEACH MAN"...More

So peaceful...warm even in winter a great place to walk the beach and unwind. Unfortunately, not a dog friendly beach, with so many people traveling with pets today.

The water is crystal clear, calm and absolutely beautiful. Bring an umbrella to have some shade. Lots of sea shells if you like looking for unique things.

I love this beach! The area is tucked away and it is not touristy at all. Parking is free and the bathroom and shower facilities are clean. There is a big picnic area and an area with outside body and feet showers. Escaping winters in...More

Englewood Beach is extremely crowded "in season" plus you need to pay for parking, which is a challenge due to the lot filling up early each day. Farther north on Manasota Key, Manasota Key Beach offers free parking, a new restroom/pavilion, life guard post and...More

The Tom Adams drawbridge used to access the south end beach is closed this week for upgrades. One needs to access the beach from the north end of the key through this weekend.

I would go up I-75 and take the Venice, Jacaranda Exit , I believe it is 193. Go all the way on this Exit and when you reach the end turn left and head toward Englewood and at the second set of lights take the Manasota Key... More

We have spent many vacations at LaCoquina and have watched the beach erosion over the past few years. From media pics after the hurricane, looks like LaCoquina lost it's whole beach. How sad. We are booked this fall at Pelican Landing. Can anyone tell me if there is any beach left out front?

We were on Manasota Beach last night, 1 mile N of your condo. It was uneffected by the storm. Englewood Beach, ~ 1/2 mile S looks ok from the road. I don't know specifically about the beach behind Pelican Landing. I do know... More
