Walking trails, butterfly gardens, gopher tortoises, boardwalks close to Lemon Bay, picnic tables and gazebo, birdwatching and sunsets and water activities. These are a few things that Lemon Bay Park offers. The beauty and cleanliness of this park can be attributed to teams of volunteers,...More

Lemon Bay Park Englewood This is a refreshing park with trails, partially paved, for walking winding in and out of a wooded area to overlook the bay. I enjoyed riding my bike on the trails, but I am uncertain if that is "allowed"... on the...More

We hiked around this natural preserve and found it to be peaceful, not crowded and beautiful. Parking was no problem. The office had already closed but I imagine you can get good information from them when they are open.

We go to Lemon Bay Park at least once a week to very our daily walking routine. The trails are wide, well groomed and resonably flat. The park also has beach access, picnic tables, a information center and washrooms.

On our way back from the Farmers market in Englewood, we decided to visit here. Nice area. Did a short walk around, and a trip to the water. We enjoyed our visit.

Nice little park. Great for picnics. Several guys were always there to fish, we all sat and watched the sunset and chat. We were "regulars".

Well, we got our 20,000 steps in with no problem. Great trails and scenery. We saw a gopher tortoise and some sort of iguana. Lots of tropical flora to photograph and enjoy!! A must do for walkers and hikers.

We enjoyed walking the trails, although we didn’t see enough birds to justify its inclusion as a Florida Birding Trail. Signage at trailheads was absent. The Nature Center was unmanned, giving the impression of financial issues. The park itself was very well-kept.

If you haven't yet been, yes, the park is dog friendly. You must keep your dog on a 6' or shorter lead, and of course clean up as needed.
