Definitely a must see! Not sure why it was there but it made an interesting addition to the park. Great place for a picnic!

This was a fun little detour. It was a nice place to get out and walk around for a bit. The axe is cool, but the area is very pretty.

It's a big axe. What else can I say?
It's not sharp, but on the day we visited it was very hot, and the axe was hot too.
Funny spot, good for a picture, but don't need to stay long. Not much else in the immediate area. If you like beer, visit the Big Axe Brewery nearby,

Definitely a cute addition to our "giant things" list. It was situated in a large park on the water, lots of space to get some energy out and gardens to view. I didn't see a canteen for snacks or a washroom available. The axe itself is on a platform with a 2 stairs up.

When driving to Fredericton, the signs said, "World's Largest Axe," so I thought, "why not?" It was a superb 20-minute diversion indeed.

It's only a 5 minute drive or so, over the St. John River (on a cool bridge at that) and then you'll see it. Free to walk up to it, free to take pictures, it's a cool thing indeed and my wife and I both appreciated it quite a bit.

A definite must-see if you're heading to Fredericton, from the West, trust me on that!

This was my sons (5 yr old) favourite road side attraction. It's located about 10 minutes off the highway, tucked away in a tiny village. There is a large park near the AXE as well as a little waterfront.

We took a picnic break and walked around for a bit. The history of the village was pretty interesting to read as well.

There was a neat little Brewery, I stopped to ask for directions, but didn't taste any. It looked very pretty and nice! Maybe next time,

I learned about this during the summer, so I went with my stepfather in August as we were on our way to Fredericton. Cool spot - took photos, relaxed for a bit, and got back on the road 45-60 minutes later. Too bad we didn't have enough time to try the brewery. Maybe next time...

Happened upon this after a terrible pizza lunch.... it was a fun diversion. This is located on the banks of the St Johns river, and has steps leading up to the platform.

Great Canadian Roadside attraction. We always stop here on the way through New Brunswick.
It is located in a beautiful park along the Saint Johns rRiver This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a picnic, let the dogs go swimming in the river and get some nice photos.

Roguetrippers love roadside attractions, and this is one of Canada's best.
