This area is simply beautiful!! I look forward for our next vacation which will most likely be spent here. We passed through on our way home from a Daytona Beach vacation. We fell in love with Flagler Beach. It's not full of tourism and looks like it would be perfect for a relaxing vacation

Stumbled across this stretch of coast en route from st Augustine to Daytona and have to say it is idyllic. Saw diving pelicans, burrowing crabs and dolphins about 30 yards off shore. Other than Naples on the west coast I think it's the nicest stretch of coast of Florida including the keys.

Our family was traveling from Daytona to St. Augustine and decided to pull over to take advantage of the free parking and the free beach. I'm SO glad we did! This beach was so clean and the sandy beaches were, for the most part very white. The water was a winter, frosty blue (different from Daytona). The nature was gorgeous and if we stayed a little longer, we might have been able to see the sea turtles! We'll definitely be back to visit longer than a couple hours next time. I've heard that this is a great place to surf too. I'm not a surfer but the waves looked amazing!

The area was lovely, the little motel we lodged at was clean comfortable and the staff stayed busy keeping guest comfortable. We planned the trip because we needed total relaxation for health reasons. We were not happy to see that the beach access for the motel had not been reconstructed from last year's hurricane, (along with many others) ☹️. We were told that the city had a date of completion for May, however they stopped working on them and they were unsure why. The only beach access was near the pier, so we would have to rise early to beat the crowd for parking. There is limited parking in Flagler Beach. There was more access south toward Daytona, however it was in residential areas and no parking. If you wish to relax with not having to travel around looking for parking and beach access Id suggest lodging in an Airbnb next to access until they get construction complete. The hotels/motels need to inform visitors of the beach access situation just incase someone else needs to stay put like we needed.

This pier IS Flagler Beach! There is an entrance fee and you can buy bait and rent poles right there. People have pulled in some large fish - recently a large baracuda! There is a new restaurant, The Funky Pelican, that just opened right off the side of the pier. And beach goers can take a dip on the beach to the right of the pier. It is in the heart of Flagler Beach and there are restaurants and shops in waling distance. It is a delightful little town.

The boardwalk on both sides of the Flagler Beach Pier is a very nice place for a relaxed and peaceful stroll. It allows an excellent view of the Atlantic Ocean, the beach down below and the Flagler Beach Pier. The boardwalk is also provided with benches for sitting and enjoying the scenario - a sunrise if you prefer!

We did a day trip to Flagler Beach with my parents from Orlando. It was a bit longer of a drive than I would have liked, but the experience was worth it. The sands there are pink from the crushed shells (so this is not a shelling beach, they are all small if you find any). But this is a great place to find sharks teeth. There were a lot of people stooping like they do in Sanibel, but for teeth not shells. The water was still chilly in comparison to where we go in Coco and Tampa, but was a great day to catch some sun.

Love the "gold" sand. Nice boardwalk with food and ice cream options. Kids had fun playing on the beach and wave jumping.

Flagler Beach has a little bit of everything... nice restaurants, bars , quaint little shops, yes it is far smaller than Daytona Beach, but it reminds me of Kauai with the beautiful ocean views and the wonderful people that are not in a hurry !!! Great Boardwalk too...

We were just a little skeptical because this pier is not as long as it used to be. A hurricane destroyed part of it a few years back. We had a great time fishing here. We went twice and caught 3 small sharks (largest was 2 1/2 feet long) and a whiting. But we saw someone catch a 38 lb jack and someone else had 4 flounder. We also got to see someone bring in a small octopus that was walking across the pier! Would definitely recommend.
