Wadsworth Park is a little gem, and I sure am glad we had the time to pay it a visit. The short walk along the boardwalk is definitely worthwhile, and we spotted loads of terrapins (different species too), and a few alligators - all of which seemed to be following our every move. Perhaps they’ve been fed a few morsels by previous visitors, that they associated us with food, or maybe as potential food... ;)

This is a nice dog park, albeit hard to find! We went through the main entrance to Wadsworth Park and the entrance to the dog park was at the far back corner of the park. It's a gateway to the dog park, and there's signs saying no dogs on the fields. Somewhat confusing. Once you pass the fields, you can see the dog park. It's worth it once you arrive. Plenty of water for the dogs, shade and room to romp according to the weight of your dog!

Our first visit here and we were very impressed. Whoever designed this place was thinking about everyone. Baseball fields, skate park, dog parks, walking trails, tennis courts, hand ball . . . like I said, something for everyone. We took one of the trails that starts from the parking area and takes you over a small pond. If you look around you'll be amazed at all of the things in and around the water. If you're taking the drive called "The Loop", you should stop and check this area out.

There are places to sit, but there's so much to do. A playground with swings and a slide for kids. A skateboard park. Three tennis courts (2 lighted). Racquet ball courts. Basketball courts (2, I think). A boardwalk.
The park is at the (west) foot of the S.R. 100 bridge, so it's a good taking-off point for a very scenic jog or walk.
Parking is tricky when the soccer fields are in use, but otherwise adequate.
A covered pavilion with picnic tables and grills can be reserved through Flagler County Parks & Recreation. (www.FlaglerParks.org, 386-313-4020)
Kudos to the County staff who keep the rest rooms in good shape.

My sister took me to this park on a recent family vacation in Florida. It is GREAT!!! So many things to do there--skate boarding, dog park, etc. We were walking on the boardwalk checking out the water plants and turtles the day we visited. It is a clean, well maintained and lovely park.

Within this wonderful, spacious county park is a newly renovated dog park. Lots of space for big dogs to run and romp and a perfect park section for small dogs. Dogs must be vaccinated, over 4 months old, friendly and owners must be alert and conscientious of their dogs. Plenty of water bowls for thirsty dogs and bags for all the pick ups, too. Great job, Flagler County Parks, in providing running room for our 4 legged kids!

We really enjoyed our visit today.
To the person who had trouble finding it, you need to get on Moody LANE.
For awhile we thought the only trail was the boardwalk. That is amazing, but do the dirt trails as well.

Very nice little park at the base of the bridge that enters Flagler Beach. It has a skateboard park area, clean restrooms, a picnic shelter, tennis courts, soccer field, basketball courts, baseball fields, walking trail, and a Boardwalk where you can see different kinds of birding wildlife, alligators and turtles. Ample parking, there is also little playground,,, very nice for families!!

This little hidden gem was a recommendation from Ms. Stephanie, a wonderful Resort rep at the place we were staying in, in Palm Coast! Without guaranteeing anything, she said if we absolutely wanted to see an alligator in the wild, we would probably find one up-close and personal, at this park, as there was rumored to be three teenage alligators living in the small pond!
On the two afternoons we visited the park, we only saw one alligator at the time, but heard another one calling, a small distance away in the pond vegetation! The pond hosts a large number of turtles and amazing birds, as well, so discovering wildlife is guaranteed, if you're patient. Do not feed the animals, for obvious reasons, but if you begin making noise, they will come out to investigate! Be wary of your little ones (pets and little humans) because there is no security gate around the pond, so there's a chance you'll encounter curious animals coming up to you! We ran into a raccoon in the daylight, so you never really can be too careful. An absolute must-visit, if you're in the Palm Coast area!
