We were staying at a nearby hotel and saw that we were really close(within walking distance) of a museum, we decided that that was a good way to burn an afternoon. The garden area was beautiful. We saw iguanas that were huge that darted in and out of the plants, a swan that was sunbathing in the lilly pad ponds,... More

Really enjoyed this museum/garden. Was not your normal house/mansion tour but instead a look into how a rich family from the north spent casual/informal time in warmer weather. Our tour guide was very good and gave lots of info on the house and its contents. Not a real large house and at the time we went (mid-January) no waiting for... More

Surrounded by high rise buildings but a world away. Historic building with lots of artwork and 35 acres of grounds and gardens.

A very nice representation of life in Florida way back when. Great gardens, and a nice historic home to look around and walk the grounds. If you're near the beach and need a few hours of more relaxation, take a walk over

The Bonnet House Museum and Garden do very well considering the limited attraction of what is Ft Lauderdales oldest building. But they handle their limited resources very well and the House tour is very well presented with extra information. Its not a patch on the most humble of European house tours. But then again. as is pointed out to visitors... More

Bonnet House is historic it pinpoints a place in time so that we are able to look back. They have a lovely garden. They do a very good job with tours. A lot of weddings and events are scheduled here.

Not a huge property and for me not really that interesting only half a dozen rooms to see a few plates and an art studio its saving grace are the grounds with its wild life

My wife and I visited the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens and had a wonderful time walking through this historic house built with Caribbean style architecture. Seeing the beautiful Art work throughout the House was so amazing. The outside 35 acre estate has lush tropical garden landscaping, and wonderful views not only of plants, but we also saw some Iguanas,... More

I confess that my wife and I are historic home groupies, so we may be easy marks, but this home and estate is on the top of our list. It's wonderful! Part of the magic is that this calm, preserved, peaceful place, with tons of wildlife and wetlands and flora and art, is smack dab in the middle of the... More

My husband and I enjoyed the tour of the Bonnet House Museum which lasted one hour and fifteen minutes. The guide showed us the unique house inspired in Caribbean style architecture and the art of Frederic and Evelyn Bartlett . The gardens of the property are very extensive and a wonderful place for people who like nature to explore and... More
