We took the Water Taxi from our hotel and spent the entire day seeing Fort Lauderdale from the intracoastal waterways. After dinner we went back and saw it by night. The waterways take you past some astounding properties and mega yachts. You can also come ashore in the Las Olas shopping area stroll along the Riverwalk as well as stopping... More

A nice way to see the waterway with watertaxi, a lot of boats and extremely large houses. Most of them were owned by celebrities such as actors and musicians.

The ICW is a natural and man made protected route just inside the east coast shoreline that runs from Miami up into the New England states. It is very scenic and unique. There is a speed limit and/or some "no wake" zones much of the way, so if you wanna "make time" you best head off- shore in some places.

You can spend the whole day sightseeing by just riding teh water taxi. The operators are great tour guides. On the different routes you see the massive yachts, homes of the rich and famous and much more. Iy is a great way to spend 3-4 hours and very cheap!

We take the boat and stop at restaurants to eat or watch the games. There are many places on the Intracoastal and beautiful homes to see. Problem is is have to go by boat or watertaxi.

A tour of the intercoastal waterway offers a look at the homes and yachts of the mega rich. The "White House" has a property tax of $64000 ... A MONTH!!! As well there are many mega yachts docked along the shoreline.

Some of THE most FABULOUS Homes and Yachts in the WORLD can be found here! The fastest yacht in the world was here, also some of the most expensive! I won't name names, but who's who are here! Take a Water Taxi and get up close and see it all! WOW!

We have been cruising up and down the FLGaSC ICW for 3 months. Cheaper north of Stuart, time your bridge openings south of Stuart. We use Active Captain for stops and waterway guide for bridge planning. Tiki bars everywhere stop and enjoy the views.

We had a blast. We took the water taxi and went up and down the intracoastal in Fort Lauderdale. Nice to see how the "other half" live. Beautiful houses with yachts to match. It was our kinda place. Nice to be able to get from place to place via the water and not deal with cars buses and motorcycles!
