My husband and I are amazed at the number and quality of the public parks in Florida. We stop at this park every year when we visit Fort Lauderdale. There are numerous short trails through mangrove areas and other stands and many picnic areas, including one with the biggest banyan tree I have ever seen. Kids will enjoy the slides... More

Rented bikes with a trailer, fun time had by all. Almost worth the trip to Fort Lauderdale by itself.

When you want to experience nature, but are tired of the beach, but not inclined to travel very far, this State Park, literally across the street from the beach, gives you a big bang for your buck. The park itself fronts the ocean (and can be easily accessed), but is hidden behind dense foliage. The intracoastal waterway is on the... More

This park is an untouched piece of shoreline right in the middle of town. Nice spot to visit. We were there on a field trip with my son's school. East coast grade (decent but not amazing) beach and nice facilities.

There was a yacht parade from the local Yacht Club. Also, a water taxi stop there, highly recomended to get some viewing of the local... More

We walked along the beach and then into this park, if you're walking here there is a 7-Eleven just across from the entrance to get cold drinks and they have some sandwiches etc for a picnic. Entry to the park is $6 per vehicle, or $2 per person for pedestrians/cyclists. Pick up a map at the entry, there is a... More

Best way to see the park is on a Segway. After you can come back and picnic or stroll around. Next time I come here it will be 9 AM, park all day for $6 then take the water taxi for an all day trip through Ft Lauderdale. Jump pn and off wherever you please for $26. The park itself... More
