A mixed bag. Still lots to do here although parts of the park, including the War Memorial auditorium, are fenced off as part of a new construction project, which one reviewer condemned as a sellout to a local pro hockey team. But the jogging/walking trails are intact and available, and still have exercise stations along the way. There is a dog park. And the paddleball courts are still there, though there were no players this morning. There's a Park Ranger substation here now. There are two full length outdoor basketball court. No players this drizzly morning. The tennis courts are still there, but again, no players this morning.
The Parker Playhouse is seemingly not affected by this new construction project. Same for the library branch in another corner of the park.
There are baseball courts. And a football field that doubles as a soccer field. It seems to have artificial grass.

Perfect for a morning walk or run. There's something for everyone to do. I used the outdoor fitness park almost every day. There's beachvolleyboll court, tennis, racquetball, basketball and lots of other facilities.

I find it ridiculous that someone reviewed that this was a gay park, it’s not a gay park it’s a community park. Simply because they witnessed two guys kiss. Holiday park is a community park that has running trails, basket ball courts, football fields, dog play areas and baseball fields.
What bearing or warrant does two people kissing have on the park...none.
The park patrons have a huge dislike for dog owners and the park rangers are extremely rude and unprofessional when dealing with pet owners. You put a dog park in the middle of the park and the rangers expect the owners to not walk their dogs through the park to get to the dog park. There are syringes from time to time left by vagrants and homeless that sleep over night. But the rangers biggest issues are dogs.

This park is about to be gone. already the auditorium, walking trail, trees, all gone. the playground is already closed and the dog park is next. the city gave the park away to the panthers hockey team for $1 for 50 years in a fraud scheme saying they are a non profit group, have you ever heard of a not for profit sports team? if we don't stop this the only such park in the city will be gone!!! my kid plays there but we may soon have to find another park to call home.

A large park just off Sunrise Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. There is something for everyone in this park. There are soccer fields, tennis courts, handball court, dog park, playground, picnic space, ball fields, theaters and an auditorium. It’s unlimited what is here.
I’d give the park a five, but there is a small element of unsavory people here. 95% of the visitors are here for the right reasons, but there is a small element of people hanging out, wanting to get into trouble. This week I was at the dog park and a lady had her car windows broken and a bag stolen.

I used to play tennis a great deal when I was younger. I signed up for a series of group tennis lessons. The first week was great. That instructor was very adaptable to each level participant and the players were very friendly and courtesy. I don't know what happened, but the next several times I went on the same night and time, a new instructor taught all those classes. Even though this was not marketed as an "advanced" class, the participants were all daily, competitive players and were so rude and non accommodating just like this instructor. The biggest joke was that when my 58 year old cousin came down to visit, I bought him a private hour w/not knowingly the instructor #2. All his self promotion and the joke is my cousin beat this instructor all sets. Unfortunately for me as a resident, I don't have a resource to take tennis lessons as I likely would get this bias instructor.

So thankful to live across the street from this beautiful park. They finally put in a crosswalk to cross busy Sunrise Blvd. to get there. We love walking the dog there (there is also a dog park). The fields are top notch and the little leaguers and football teams play under the lights.

Every Friday night there is live music at Holiday Park. It is called the Starlite Musicals and it runs from early June til early August (7 PM til 10 PM) with live bands in a different genre every week. We bring our chairs and our coolers with food and beer, wine and sodas for the kids. Good free fun!

This park caters to grumpy old harassing couples, harassing staff, Park Rangers that are extremely rude, homeless addicts ,vagrants, cardboard boxes and used needles. They have a horrible/useless activity schedule for adults and they are limited to peewee leagues.
