This park is on McGregor at Colonial. You can't see it from Colonial because it's beside the bridge. It goes from McGregor to the river and is a nice place to walk. The Memorial is beautiful. The boots and helmet are done in color rather than the usual bronze. Nice way to show appreciation for our Vietnam vets.

I stopped at this memorial a few weeks ago when I had a few minutes in my day and had just lost a friend who served with me in the US Navy. Excellent memorial! Despite being next to a busy freeway it was perfect for some personal reflection.

This is a neat place and park. They have the names of those who gave all in the Vietnam War. There is also a screen that faces the road where you can put a friend or family members name to scroll on throughout the day. I have done this for my 2 sons who serve and my nephew who served.... More

This memorial is nestled just under the Mid Point Bridge on lovely and historic MacGregor and is a solemn reminder of all those who fought and the many that gave their lives to preserve our freedom and way of life and for this I SALUTE YOU!

This morning on Memorial Day my DAR chapter, for the second year, had a laying of a memorial wreath and service to remember the fallen soldiers, those still MIA and Veterans of the Vietnam War. The memorial is in a small park with carefully laid out walkways from the parking area to the memorial of walls with names of the... More

Visit here often. Would love to find stories of the men immortalized here. Some may know that Nicholas Cutinha won a Medal Of Honor in Nam. Nicholas Parkway in Cape Coral is named after him.

We enjoyed walking through the walk. It was level, mostly shady and not hills...great for us old folks. The walk was so interesting and the parking was not only ample, but they had wonderful displays to honor our Veterans from all the wars. Made me swell with pride!

Visiting the Fort Myers Vietnam Memorial brought back memories, of friends, classmates and fellow soldiers lost during the Vietnam Conflict. Even though I didn’t know any of the guys engraved on the walls, I still felt a loss in my heart. The memorial’s steel pot placed on the M16 and empty boots has always been a sign that will bring...
