Incredible beach experience

The views are beautiful and definitely worth the walk back to the fishing dock. There was a lot of ghost crabs to look at!

We spent our last afternoon in Florida at this state park. It was fairly easy to navigate and the beach was beautiful! We really wished we had enough time to rent a kayak to view manatees or the many fish we saw from the bridges!

Great park and beautiful beach. A must when we visit the area. Entry fee of $6/car is good for the whole day.

Cloudy day - saw one gopher turtle, one small alligator, fish, a few osprey and some shore birds. Several people were walking quietly along the nature trail and bicyclists sped passed us talking as if they were in there livingroom. A few bicyclists quietly passed and stopped along trail to read placards. Beach is nice - and overall this is... More

Great place for families, but every visitor to FMB should go! The beach is beautiful and the kayak tour was enjoyed by friends who took it

We had a great day exploring the park with our two young children. I was nervous about kayaking with the wildlife but once we were in the boats the fear was gone and we really enjoyed all the jumping fish, birds and the small alligator that swam right in front of us. The tram to the beach was excellent, clean... More

Go early if you want to find a lot of shells! We went on the weekend and got there around 9 but by 11 the beach was packed. There are restrooms by the parking lot as well as by the beach which was nice. They also have food for sale, and chairs and water sport equipment you can rent. You... More

Extremely nice beach far removed from all the crowding at Fort Myers. With current road construction, it takes some effort to get there but it's worth it. Water color is beautiful.

Check the parks website before you go, we were able to call ahead and reserve space on an estuary walk. The volunteers who led this activity had nets, magnifying "jars" and other equipment; they were able to identify our finds (jelly fish, seahorse, brittle star, etc.). This activity is usually only help once a month, so checking ahead was helpful.... More
