Great Nature

kayaked for 5 miles and saw manatees, ospreys, and we did see an alligator. Later went to the Beautiful beach via the tram.

We just felt that this was overall the best beach we visited while in the area. Great facilities, convenient, even a small restaurant on the beach. There are opportunities to see wildlife, kayak, canoe or paddleboard

Amazing location with a beautiful beach. Rich in animals to observe. Clean and with some area for bbq and sitting. No shadow areas, so bring your umbrella. Nice location to watch the sunset.

Ranger Pam was our guide today for a splendid beach and estuary walk at Lovers Key State Park. She is very knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about birds, shells and Southwest Florida plants

Incredibly nice and clean beaches. Plenty of space. Do note there are not a lot of facilities or their expensive, so bring your own. And there is an 8 dollar fee you need to pay, but that's really worth it. Above all, can you think of a family activity for 5 persons in Florida that is this cheap? Definitely worth... More

We can't stay away from Lovers Key State Park. Easy access and the shelling is fantastic. We walk in but on many trips we take a boat over and it makes for a wonderful day. Would suggest any visitor to Ft Myers take time to visit.

Lovers Key Park and Beach are located near the end of Fort Myers Beach. This park is know for nature and the birds and animals you see. It is wonderful! Also, the beach is very sandy and nice and although there are others there, it is not crowded or swamped with people and you do have your space. The water... More

Be sure to rent a kayak.... the manatees were mating and swimming all around our group...they were coming right up to us, and touching the kayaks, and holding on to them.... absolutely amazing...there were osprey, anhinga, alligators, and so many beautiful birds... loved the beaches, the shelling was amazing, and the views and trees are a tropical paradise...
